Twenty Cherries made 33 cards for friends and family in May's Card Challenge! it was wonderful seeing this hobby of ours being used to reach out to others during this difficult time. You inspired me to do two winners of $5 gift cards, and the Random Number Generator says they are No. 4, StacyLee, and No. 7, Karen C. Thanks to all who participated.

A day early with this -- wanted to get it posted before the NSD rush. The challenge this month is to make a card and send it to someone by the end of the month. A handmade card is a great way to send love to a child or grandchild you cannot see or let friends know you are thinking of them during this difficult time. Cards also would brighten the days of nursing home residents, who currently cannot have visitors, or our hard-working health-care providers. You could contact a local nursing home or send your cards to Kapco’s Hero Mail Call, PO Box 1170, Grafton, WI 53024. Kapco will distribute your cards to Wisconsin nursing homes and medical facilities. This effort was featured on my local TV station. You can read more about it HERE.
This month's options:
-- Option 1: Make a card and send it to someone by the end of the month. Please include a little bit about who you sent your card to.
-- Option 2: Use the sketch below. Remember, the sketch is just a starting point -- change sizes of elements, add or remove parts, whatever makes it work for your idea. Please include what part(s) of the sketch you used.
-- Option 3, for a bonus: Use the sketch below to make a card AND send it to someone by the end of the month.
My sample:
The sketch:
The rules:
-- You may submit unlimited cards this month AS LONG AS you send them to someone by the end of the month. Please include a little bit about who you sent your card(s) to.
-- If you use the sketch, please tell what part(s) of the sketch you incorporated.
-- Open only to new, paper cards (no digi).
-- Post to this thread by 11:59 p.m. May 31.
-- You may combine with one other monthly challenge if that challenge allows, plus the motivational challenge. NO COMBINING with NSD challenges.
A $5 ACOT gift card will go to one Cherry via the random number generator. Please ask if you have any questions.

I am not a frequent card maker but we would like to participate. Saving our space here!

The teeny tiny sentiments here say: happy memories, together, xoxoxoxo
I'm sending to my son's GF whom we haven't seen in 6 weeks and counting now. We used to play D&D every Saturday with her

Thank you -- not my usual style but I had fun with it. Hope you will have time to give it a try!

I'm not a card maker. It's out of my comfort zone for real. I made this card to send to my friend for mother's day. I just got a Mother's Day package from her and thought I would make her a card to send with her gift.

How lovely to think of your friend, and this is a gorgeous card. You are a card maker!lissahope26 wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 2:08 pmI'm not a card maker. It's out of my comfort zone for real. For the bonuses I used the sketch and plan to give this to a co-worker who has been a huge help to me the past month while things have been wacky in the world and I've mostly worked from home. I'm going to save a stamp, though, and send it through inter-office mail LOL Thanks for the challenge!

So cute -- I know this will bring a smile to your co-worker!StacyLeeD wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 1:35 pmFor the bonuses I used the sketch and plan to give this to a co-worker who has been a huge help to me the past month while things have been wacky in the world and I've mostly worked from home. Great challenge! Now is a perfect time to send out cards. Love the sketch and your example!

I did all 3 options. #1 I made this card for my son. His birthday was May 5th. He always said that his birthday must be special because so many people celebrate that day (Cinco de mayo)#2 I used most of the sketch.#3 I did send this card already.
My first card for the May card challenge. I didn't use the sketch on this one, but will with the next one I am working on. I am mailing this card to a scrappy friend that I miss so much since we retired. We were supposed to go to a crop together the end of April, but alas, that did not happen!
I included a sentiment and flags from the sketch. I enjoyed doing this May challenge. Thank you!

Wonderful card for an adult son -- it can be challenging to make those masculine cards!
