I love the fact that scrapbooking makes me happy. No matter what problem I am facing, it always seems better when I am scrapping. I have RA and I live with a lot of pain, but when
I am scrapping it isn't so bad. Scrapping is my second best therapy and praying is number 1.
I have met so many wonderful people since I have been scrapping online and in several scrapping groups that I belong to. When I am with these people, that is my happy place.
Many years ago, I never cared about scrapbooking. However, when my first grandchild came along I wanted to document everything about his life. I have never looked back I have been scrapping for 14 years. I make individual scrapbooks for each grandchild. Inside the front cover of every scrapbook is a letter for that grandchild. They love looking at the albums and reading the letters. I always put words of wisdom in each letter and I hope that this will help guide them down the right path.
Scrapbooking has changed my life in so many positive ways. I thank God for allowing me to find this wonderful hobby that is so much a part of my life.

I love it for so many different reasons. Mainly because it allows me to do what I want without question when I want. Plus it re-connects me with photos that bring back the memories
Let's not forget the paper, little embellishments I get to purchase and hoard

It's a creative outlet with no expectations. I document our lives so we can remember later on. The albums I've made for my kids are a tangible item to show interest and love in their lives. Who knows what they will do with them when they are older...that's for them to decide. Right now they do look through the family albums and talk about things I've documented. There is so much to talk about on most pages in the albums; "I forgot about that!" "Oh yeah..look at my shirt. That was my favorite!" "My bedroom used to be that color?!" I scrap everyday moments, big holidays, yearly interviews, etc. in the hopes of helping them remember.
I love so many different things about it.
-the hunt/shopping and finding the perfect thing for a page
-the people I've met and places I've gone because of it
-the time I get to be "brain free" and not think of any troubles while I'm creating.
-the repeated opportunities to be creative.
-the comfort in knowing that I'm safely preserving our life and everything in it. (Pics, moments, items, etc)
-the comfort that my kids will have something of me when I'm gone.
There's probably more too.

It's ok, I scrapbook.

I actually started scrapping as a health perk. I have lung problems, and I found that when I scrap, my breathing would level out, probably because of the focusing. It quickly became a favorite thing to do. As many of you said, I look back through the albums, and they bring back so many smiles and memories that I cherish. Again, I am not sure what future family members will do with the books, but if it brings them a smile too, it was worth all the time.

Mostly, it's fun! It's art, an outlet for emotions, and keeps family memories together.

I have so many reasons I love scrapbooking, but my main reason would be it's my escape from everything! It's my therapy in good times and bad. It's my creative outlet and I love trying different things. It's my connection to the scrapbooking community because there aren't any crops or get togethers here. I love reliving our travels by scrapping them and I love keeping all these memories for my grandkids.
THANKS FOR SHARING THE VIDEO IT WAS COOL TO LEARN WHAT DESIGNER'S THINK.... SECOND WHAT I LOVE ABOUT SCRAPBOOKING IS THAT I CAN FORGET ABOUT MY PAIN WHILE I SCRAPBOOK.... I ALSO LOVE ALL THE GOODIES THAT THERE IS FOR SCRAPBOOKING/CARDMAKING..... I ALSO LOVE LOOKING BACK AT MY ALBUMS AND SEE HOW MUCH I HAVE CHANGED OVER THE YEARS AND LOOKING AT MY FAMILY WITH ALL WE HAVE DONE.... VALERIE
What a great way to start off NSD, with a great video that let me connect with old friends who I have learned from over my 30 years of scrapping, to new friends who have given us such creative new products.
I love scrapbooking because it gives me a creative outlet that makes me feel artistic, and a sense of accomplishment with every page, card, or journal that I finish. I love learning new techniques, buying new products (oh, do I LOVE buying!), and most of all, meeting new online friends with similar interests who freely share their most wonderful and inspiring ideas with us all.

Scrapping brings out my creative side in a way that blocks out everything else. Love the creative process, crops with special friends, and preserving precious photos and the stories for myself and others. It's such a great sense of accomplishment to complete a project. Oh...and of course - the snacks, especially chocolate.

Creating pages (and cards) is like therapy for me. I think it takes my focus off the bad and sad in life and refocuses me on pretty, fun, cute scrappy stuff. I come out of my scrappy room happier than went I go in.

I love scrapbooking because I love writing stories and taking photos- it’s just so natural to put them together in an album or photo book to tell a fuller story! Sometimes I struggle with traditional scrapbooking, but I’ve found that making smaller scale albums are actually fun! And I’m so proud of anything I complete.
buying supplies, using up supplies and scrapping with friends!

Such a fun video! There are so many things I love about this great hobby! Sense of pride in my work, support from the scrappy community and exciting supplies to use on projects. Above all though, documentation of memories (photos, journaling, memorabilia). Looking back over my layouts is like being in a time machine. Transports you to the time and place your life took place and the memories you made at that moment.
Love it’s something I can do by myself or equally enjoy doing with others. It’s wonderful that’s it’s something I can share/teach/pass on to my little grand daughter.
And I smile to think after I’m gone and my kids are wondering what to do with all my albums full of layouts they will start looking through them and smile/laugh/cry and re-live every memory as I saw it.
