Distress Technique
I want you to use a distress tool/scissors, or tearing on your photo mats.I love this look and have been using it a lot lately! If you don’t have a distress Tool you can use the edge of your scissors to distress your paper. Here is a link from YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSvGYL4fXXw
ALSO:
*You must double all your photo mats
* and they all must be distressed/torn
*it’s optional if you want to distress all your paper layers (but I love the look)
Here is my sample layout:
*One Entry per Cherry
*You can combine with one other October Challenge
*You cannot combine with other GD Challenges
*Due Date October 31st

Love this. I used to use sand paper to distress years ago. Might have to break it out again!
This is mine. The left hand side got cut off a little but both photos are double matted and distressed. I used my Tim Holtz distressing tool.

Here is my LO, I used my Tim Holtz little round Distress tool. All papers are torn and/or distressed.

Could not find my distressing tool so used a scissor on edges. Did some paper tearing too.

Hi everyone! My name is Susan and I love to scrapbook!
I loved this challenge! I'm so happy you linked to the video showing how to do it. I don't have the tool but love the look. I went nuts and did the photo mats and the circles too. Thanks for the new technique!!
Happy Scrapping!

Here's my layout for the distress challenge. I have distressed double mats for my photos.
I collaged the cut photos and pasted them on white, cut it out and edged with distress ink then used scissors. Pasted that to the floral and cut and distressed that also. Each strip piece was torn with a distress ruler, sponged for more distressing. Even the edges of the sentiment piece. I did not distress the die cuts from the Magnolia package.
