I don't have most of the items I put (except the ink), I found them in the store - I hope that is ok.

OK, I'll give it a go since all our weekend festivities have finally wrapped up and I can relax back at work. LOL
Color of photo (b/w, color, sepia, etc..): I would leave it in color. The colors are beautiful on the picture!
Title: (I'm so bad at titles)... I'd make a collage using the thickers below. I'd use the word Adventure...the camera and the arrows...maybe add the hearts to the title and back to the picture
Alphas for Title (if you think I should use the cricut (give me the cartridge/font to use):
Cardstock: I like the pop of black that backing a picture can give. So I would use black around the photo and also as an edge/border around your layout.
Patterned Paper: I love these collection packs. I would use the one that is on the far left at the bottom that mimics the water in the picture. You could also back your photo again with the wood grain.
Embellishment (s):
Ink:
Other: I'd add some typed journaling strips as well to tell the story.

I'd use one of the new mermaids line and use the title Watching for Mermaids, and definitely keep that photo in color.

It's fun to see what everyone chooses and how our styles differ. Many years ago I used to trade pictures with a group of scrappers and we did a layout for each other...sort of a swap. It was really cool to see the finished product.
