What if I told you that EVEN I couldn't choose right now!!!
Here's what we are going to do. You will know tonight how to choose your paper. Guess how? You will need to use the winning horse(s)'s jockeys silks from the Kentucky Derby to pick your colors. They must be from the WIN, or PLACE, or SHOW horse, your choice!!

So that means you either have to watch the Derby or wait until I post the "Silks" from the winners here.
AND. . . . everyone who adds a rose (Not just a flower - A ROSE) to their layout - photo, or on the layout somewhere, or the word rose, or rose IN a word, such as "I planted my PrimROSE" or We saw the ROSEtta stone in a museum - gets sprinkles!!

So we don't have to choose our silks before the race? Just want to make sure I understand

Nope, the jockey and horse of today's race will choose that for you! I'm going to do one from each of the three sets of colors, so I'm hoping to have them up by tomorrow AM . But you just choose the race silks - not to be confused with the color of the horse blanket (which is sometimes to hard to tell the color of) There is a list of the silks out there for today's running (I MADE SURE so I didn't put my foot in my mouth) but I'll link you guys up!!sdwhru wrote:So we don't have to choose our silks before the race? Any other questions? I'm going to post my gift card holder and my layout for the llama challenge in the gallery now. So then you can see that.
So I've given you two assignments - a card/layout with a llama, and your Kentucky Derby layout - horses not necessary!! Roses are special points though.
No one consider me a gambler, or that I could name more than one or maybe two horses in the race, but I did ride once in the day! This is all just because NSD hit the derby day!!

I am having internet problems and not sure I am seeing all the details, but a LLAMA card!!! LOVE THIS! You have definitely created the one challenge I will absolutely attempt. The one related to the Derby sounds awesome too, I have lots of rose items. Looking forward to trying these challenges out! Thanks!
