Hello everyone, just curious of everyone's opinions out there, but I am wondering if I should buy an electronic die cutting machine(i.e. Cricut explore or a Sillouhette Cameo). I already have a Big Shot Plus machine, and I am not sure if I should have machine, or need, for that matter another die cutting machine?
I have a Cricut Expression, and if it ever quits, I'll get an Explore, because I have so many cartridges and have recently uploaded most of them to the Cricut Craft Room so they'll be linked to my account already. I have heard lots of good reviews on the Explore.
I also have a Big Shot, but it isn't working very well, so I'm already thinking of getting another one of those, because I have several dies ...
The best thing I like about the electronic die cutter is that you can change sizes of the cuts. Also there are so many free SVGs online, and I don't think the subscriptions for the Silhouette store or Cricut.com are very expensive...

I don't know I was being fair in my answer, because as soon as I saw the title of the thread on the sidebar, I was thinking, "Yes! You should get a new electronic die cutting machine!"

Yes, Yes, Yes!!! I love my electronic cutting machine (Silhouette Cameo fan!!!) It is so much fun. Then you can add vinyl to your crafting world. Spend some time on Silhouette or Cricut craft sites to help you decide. Let me know if you would like to explore some of my favorite sites:) Once you get past the price of the machine, then the rest if very reasonable. So many free sites to get SVGs for your machine!!!!
An expert at anything was once a beginner!
I say a big yes! I started with a Cricut. About 4 years ago I invested in a Silhouette and I love it so much!!! I do also have a big shot I use when making cards and have lots of dies!

Oh yes! I have a Silhouette Cameo and I LOVE it! I also have a Cuttlebug and I love that too. I have quite a collection of dies, but the very intricate ones are more of a problem for the Cuttlebug. I still love it as it is great with all other dies. When I got the Cameo it opened a whole new world because you use cut files with it and you can make them any size you want, you can flip them, alter them, and you can make your own. And it can cut intricate designs. Plus there is a print and cut option where you can print out a design on your printer and then run it through the Cameo to cut it out. You can also replace the blade with a sketch pen and have it sketch certain designs. There is a lot you can do with it!
That's up to you to decide if it will be worth it to you. I use mine ALL the time and always have. I received my first electronic die cut machine in 2006 - the Craft Robo and then moved on to the Bosskut Gazelle (only sold it b/c it wasn't MAC compatible), and now I have the Silhouette Cameo. I do also own a small Cricut Create that has served me well in the past - I haven't used it in at least a couple of years.
For me, they're totally worth it and there are different online classes you can take, or youtube videos to watch to get the hang of it, whichever one you decide might be for you.

In my opinion, Big Shot Plus die cutting machine is enough for and no need to go for another. I in case you want for much complex issues.
