I totally understand how Brandy feels today.... Today my Mazee would be 11 but I lost her August 29..... I have been missing my sweet girl so much BUT I am celebrating today ALL the Wonderful Memories I have of her. This pic was taken a few days before she went to Rainbow Bridge. She is up there with Merlin and all her fur friends have an awesome celebration!!!
Many hugs Susan. I know its an emotional day. Your sweet Mazee shares so much with my girls. She shares the same birthday. AND....she passed away the same day as baby Bear. She was a beautiful girl and she is now up on Rainbow Bridge, having a huge doggie party, and her and Merlin are together again!

Big hugs Sue. What a beautiful girl she was. There is a special place in my heart for labs and goldens.

I'm glad that you are back to scrapping btw (I saw your post). This layout of Mazee is only the 2nd I have done since October... so I am trying to get back in the swing myself.

I know it does your heart good to pay tribute to those wonderful creatures that went before us, and I truly believe I'll see them again.
Yesterday, my friend and co-worker, had to put down her chocolate lab "Obi." Obi was such a gorgeous lab, and he was fine until they noticed he wouldn't bend over to eat/drink, but wanted them to hold it up. They realized he had a lump on his chest. Fast forward, Obi had lymphoma. He was grimacing over the weekend. She and her family had family portraits done, and then she said she'd see how he did yesterday. He was failing fast, and she said he was too good a dog to suffer. So they made the decision. She came in today and is quiet, and I told her to come talk if she needed to, but I'd respect her privacy. She said her daughter Emily is taking it very badly, she's 13. Obi was only 5.
Hugs to everyone who is reading about Mazee, and thinking about her, and remembering their own pets. We can only say how much they added to our lives, no matter how long , or short, they were with us.
Love to you Susan, and Brandy.
