Re: What did you do for Mother's Day -for points
About to enjoy breakfast that dh has cooked for me, then work on LO from yesterday. Family coming over this afternoon. I've not been feeling well so I've not offered to cook out and Dh has been on a special diet. But always enjoy wathcing the grands play and visiting with 2 dsons and wives. Who knows, they may surprise us with a bit of dinner even.

So far Dh made a lovely breakfast and took the kids out to run some errands. I'm sitting here with tea and trying to make a game plan for scrapping lol. The house is clean and I have no manuscripts to work on. So I'm not sure what else is happening today. It's pouring rain and yucky out. I'm fine with staying in and scrapping and maybe playing some Dungeons & Dragons with the family in my Death Star t-shirt later. Because I'm apparently that kind of geeky, introverted mom LOL! Image
Happy Scrapping!

I get to enjoy the scrapbooking. DH is working on the yard and fixing my son's car, so it's nice and peaceful in here:)  But the most favorite part of my day so far was my grandson video chatting this morning with me:)

Everyone is sleeping in this morning! I'm still in my pj's. I just called my mom in Michigan and we talked quite awhile. I'm so lucky to still have her in my life. Maybe need to do a special page for her today. I'm planning a quiet day with scrapping and relaxing. It's sunny this morning and looks like nice weather to be outside later. My ds asked me if I wanted to do anything special today and I'm thinking sitting by our community pool with a cool drink sounds about right.

Happy Mother's Day to all!

Mothers Day is very difficult for me.  As this weekend 7 years ago was the last time I saw my mother before she passed away.  Today DH and I are spending the day at home with a nice dinner.  I am going to write in my journal about memories of my mom.  MY MIL lives in NYC and we are in Utah So we call ed her this am and we made her a card and  sent  her this..

Jason picked out the pattern. This Is will be perfect for her beach cottage she has for the summer.  It was the perfect gift that just jumped out at ue were at Sam' Club.

No big plans.  I hope to scrapbook today, since I wasn't able to yesterday.  Hubby cooked breakfast.  Got a beautiful flower arrangement from daughter in Seattle.  Other daughter works today and I am sure I will hear from her crew later today.  Generally relax!

(((Hugs))) Chris and Kimber.   Today is hard for me too since mom passed last month.  Image  I'm grateful however to have been able to see all five of my grown children this weekend.   My son who lives3 hours away surprised me with a visit on Friday.  The others live close so  I see them often.  I have no plans to do anything special today.  DH is cooking...yes!!   And I get to relax and scrap.

Dropped off a Lily and Card to my own mom last night. Then DH, DD and DS surprised me with breakfast in bed, a beautiful bouquet and cards this morning. Now they have gone off for about 6 hours to a museum in VT and I will spend the day doing much needed mani/pedi/face mask/deep conditioning treatments to myself before my trip to San Fransisco this coming week , all the while scrapping in between. LOVELY DAY :)

Actually yesterday we went to lunch with my husband's side of the family, mainly to take my Mother-in-law out to eat.  Then hubby and I went to see the new Captain America movie.  I will be going out to eat with both of my sons on Tuesday because of work schedules.

Just another Sunday.  Washed my hair, cleaned the kitchen and changed the tablecloth, some laundry to fold, planting strawberries early afternoon when it is warmer, then cooking Sunday supper .  My son's will be here as well as DH's older sister and my elderly aunt.  My boys will bring me a box of Sees chocolate and a beautiful potted mum and that will b the only difference.  Pretty low key

Mother's Day is kinda difficult....my mom is gone, I have no kids, and I'm too old to have any.... Even to adopt. So I focus on my wonderful 7 nieces and nephews who gave me mom names : mama C and ma D.

im so grateful for them.

Re: What did you do for Mother's Day -for points
We decided to SURPRISE my MIL by driving to her house, one hour away.  Stopped along the way and got her a lavender pot of pretty geraniums.

SURPRISE was on us, she was not home.  We waited an hour for her to come home.  She hardly EVER goes out except for Dr. apt or groceries.

Drove home and stopped to buy ice cream at the grocery store and ate it when we got home.

Otherwise, I have washed dishes, made sweet tea, vacuumed and washed and hung a load of laundry.

DD is going to finish the rest of the laundry and DH is going to finish the lawn mowing I did not finish last night.

Not much going on here... My husband got me some chocolate and occupied our son yesterday so I could scrap. Except I didn't scrap because I was too busy on ACOT playing games and such, heh. Today has been quiet but we might hit the Aviary when the kiddo gets up from nap.

Went to church, then had lunch at Pizza Hut; had their buffet. It's not the best, but didn't want to fight any crowds at better places. Now we are home, and I'm going to scrap while the kids play/watch tv.
