As you know we lost our sweet MoJo a few weeks ago to cancer. He was the best dog, so sweet and gentle and my heart aches from his loss.
I'd just began looking at the animal shelter websites and thinking about getting another dog. Our little Karma didn't seem to know what to do without her best friend, MoJo.
I found a dog, but decided to give myself a week to think about it and I decided to name him Apollo, the god of healing because part of his job would be to heal my broken heart.
I told my daughter and an hour later she called me and said,"I found your dog!"
Her sister -in-law had a friend who was looking for a new home for his 10-month-old boxer (my favorite breed)
He met my requirements: good with other dogs and children. And most amazing of all, his name was already Apollo!
Congratulations! Before I read the other comments, I also thought "it was meant to be".

And so. . . . Life goes on. . . that circle of life from the Lion King. . . It was meant to be, and I'm so happy for you, and your furbabies, and your entire family. I'm sensing "Apollo" knows by now how he has found his forever home!
Definitely meant to be! He's gorgeous!
