Thanks to all you cherries that participated this month, your entries were all fantastic! This month's winner, according to Random.org is........#9, Tammey! Congratulations, Tammey, I'll get your gc out to you in a little bit.
Happy August Cherries! I've decided to re-vamp my sketch challenge this month. I'm almost exclusively a one-page scrapper. Even when I find a two-page sketch I like, I will often only use one side of it. Many of you cherries out there scrap two-page layouts, so I decided to broaden the scope of my challenge to have a little of something for everyone. I've changed up the entry rules, too, so please read carefully & let me know if you have any questions
Take Your Pick gives you two choices, a one-page sketch or a two-page sketch.
You can choose either sketch or do both, each will count as one entry.
I will allow an entry for anyone who wants to use only one side of the two-page sketch.
So, if you use the one-page sketch, that's one entry. If you use one or both sides of the two-pager, that's still one entry, maximum of two entries per participant.
The "challenging" part is that there will be a requirement along with each sketch, so please read carefully each month.
I found the one-page sketch I chose this month on Pinterest, credit to Liz Qualman on the design:
Here's the CHALLENGE requirement: Your entry must contain something musical. It can be in your pictures, patterned paper, washi, embellishments, a concert ticket stub, or a song title in your title. Just show me something musical. In my sample I have musical elements in my patterned paper, music notes clip, and pictures of my son playing the guitar
Jazz
Here's your two-page sketch, which I also found on Pinterest, courtesy of lisabearnson.com. I don't have a sample for this yet.....it's in my head though!
Here's your CHALLENGE requirement: Your layout must include chevrons, either in embellishments or patterned paper, washi, just show me some chevrons!
**UPDATE** Here's my sample of the two-page sketch, using just the left side:
Awesome Determination
Open to layouts only, paper or digital
Must be new work using the provided sketch(es)
You can combine with any other August message board or Guest Designer challenge that allows (I won't count kill a kit, that's a freebie)
Please link your work here and in the gallery spot I’ve provided
Deadline is midnight, 8/31/15
A random winner will be chosen to receive a $5 ACOT gift card from me! IF WE HAVE OVER 50 ENTRIES THIS MONTH I WILL GIVE OUT TWO $5 ACOT GIFT CARDS!
MOST importantly, have FUN & I’m looking forward to seeing all of your work!!

I am a one page scrapper also. Love both sketches but was immediately drawn to the one page sketch. Your layout is fabulous!! I hope I have photos to meet the challenge requirement.
Thanks, Chris! If you don't have "musical" photos or supplies, remember you can also pick a song title or lyrics for your title. I'm trying to make it not too restrictive, but still "challenging" Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!emmapaige wrote:I am a one page scrapper also. So many challenges I would like to try this month! I love the music layout and have plenty of photos for that.

That's the spirit! Sure you can! Glad to see so many of you are liking the new version of my sketch challenge. I've updated with my sample for the two-page sketch, I just used the left side. Can't wait to see all of your work!blsd2scrp wrote:yay! how fun! have a crop next friday night where I can work on these! Thanks Stacy. I've gone to my granddaughter's concerts but don't have many good pics. So a song title may be a great alternative.StacyLeeD wrote:Thanks, Chris! Thank you Stacy for hosting a, your pick challenge, I am mostly a two page LO scrapper so I am excited about your change. I am also glad to see that you, as well as some others has put a max on entries. I like your sketch picks and as always your LO's are wonderful. Thank again.
thats great, thank you! I know many of you cherries like two pagers. While I really liked the left side of this months sketch I thought the right side might be a good choice for scraps. I thought of the kill a kit challenge, great use for scrap strips! Or washi, too. Those strips could work great for washi lovers. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!suemo wrote:Thank you Stacy for hosting a, your pick challenge, I am mostly a two page LO scrapper so I am excited about your change. thanks, Ann! I think I'm going to have to challenge myself sometime to do both sides of the 2-pager I pick lol!beachlover wrote:what a great challenge! I love 2 pagers but rarely do them! I want to try to accomplish both here! love your sketch and beautiful LO's!

Stacy here is my take. I did the left side of the two page. The circle is out of chevron paper although that is hard to tell
~Crystal
And my second take. I used the right side of the 2 page sketch. They will sit next to one another in the albums (maybe) but I didn't have enough of the pink chevron paper (that I used in the first one) to cross over to make it a 2 page spread. Make sense? In this one the green washi strip is chevron patterned. I am excited about this one since I used my Cameo to cut the "berry sweet" title, the circle journal spot ad the strawberry!
~Crystal
My title is a song title and there is a guitar in the photo,
