I am a slooooow scrapper. My husband and I got married in 2009, and I started a scrapbook for my wedding a few months after. It only has 26 pages and I’m Still. Not. Done.  I only have a few pages left and I’ve been putting them off in favor of doing just about anything else.  

One of the last pages needing completion was about our first dance. My husband and I hate to dance (maybe that’s why I was putting off this page?) but we did it just once for this special occasion. Strangely enough, this actually was the very first time we danced together and also the last - we haven’t danced since!



Your challenge is to scrap a “first.”  You can do this two ways:

• The topic of your layout can be about a “first”
• You can use a technique for the first time

Do both on the same layout and get a bonus entry! 

A winner will be chosen randomly to receive a $5 ACOT Gift Certificate.  Have fun! 

The fine print:

• Open to paper, digi and hybrid layouts, must be a new creation
• Submit your entry to either this thread or the GD #3 Challenge gallery by 11:59 pm on June 30, 2015 EST. Be sure to explain which option you chose or if you did both.
• Only one entry per person
• Can be combined with one other June challenge that allows combining but not with another GD challenge. (And definitely use it for the 30 in 30 challenge if you’re participating!)

Beautiful layout and great challenge! If it makes you feel any better, I got married in 1998 and haven't started the wedding album yet! DS is a sophomore in HS and I"m just starting his Kindergarten book LOL! Procrastination is my middle name...

Another great challenge and great page!! And I am very slow too! Maddie is almost 7 and still haven't finished her baby album. I'm just working on whatever I feel like lol. But I really need to finish some of my older "subjects" up.

Here is mine.  My son's first time in St. Thomas and also my first time trying the border at the top, making and cutting out the circles and adding different PP behind them.  I also used a sketch from Pinterest that I have had saved wanting to try the circles, so this is combined with the Pinterest challenge as well.

This is page one of a double page layout. Page 2 will be ready tomorrow after I do some journaling, stitching and add some bling. I combined with the June Manufacturer's Challenge as the quote box is from Websters Pages and is actually the thing that set the whole color scheme for the layout!

Here is my layout.  It is from our first trip to Nashville.  It defiantly won't be the last.  What an awesome place to visit!!  I also tried a new technique on the layout....I found some cork circles at Michael's in the clearance section.  I used stazon to stamp on the cork.  It turned out really well.  I will be doing that again.  Thanks for the great challenge!
