Re: Chris's Dinner Menu Challenge
Here is my layout using the following:

Beer (switched from wine) -- journaling strips
Mushrooms -- circles (there are circles in the red PP, and I used doilies as "circle" elements and thought anything else would be too distracting...)
Shrimp/scallops -- 2 PP background
veggies -- doilies
Waldorf salad -- something red
pie -- washi

Bowl Full of Cherries

Re: Chris's Dinner Menu Challenge
For my dinner I had the following:

Iced Tea - decorative border - Martha Stewart punch
Stuffed mushrooms - circles - Mickey head and flair pen
Steak - patterned paper for background
Baked Potato - twine - around the "M"
Tossed - green (had to swap this one out.  There was no way I could use green on this layout.  I opted for white/ric rac).
Pie - I chose the color black for my title.

Cherry Bark

Re: Chris's Dinner Menu Challenge
Here is what I had:

I had wine, but I swapped it for ice tea (decorative border - paw print EK Success), stuffed mushrooms (circles - pattern paper - Queen & Co, Karen Foster), carbonara pasta (cardstock background), roasted veggies (doily - Doodlebug), caesar salad (something brown - brown in my title by Reminisce). My dessert was fruit, which I used veneers (heidi swapp).

Sorry for the cruddy picture - its really cloudy today.

soda - banner
stuffed mushrooms-circles
rib eye steak - 1 pp background
French fries - stars
tossed salad - something green
Ice Cream -washi

the distressing on the quote is unintentional.  Discovered that even well stored rub-ons from 2007 are prone to have problems being applied.  lol

Re: Chris's Dinner Menu Challenge
This one is for Chris's dinner challenge. So my beverage was Ice Tea - a decorative border. So I selected a paper with a fancy border. I added chalks and stickles to the border:). Next, the appetizer was chicken wings - hexagons. It was nice to use my Creative Memories's hexagon shape that I bought years ago:) The main event was steak, my favorite, was patterned paper. Again, one of my favorites is matching pattern papers. The side dish was roasted veggies - doilies. The small ones worked perfectly with the background paper. The salad was a Waldorf salad adding red. My tag is written in dark red and I added red stickles to the border. And finally, dessert my choice. That would be my tag. The comment just seems to fit my grandson:) Great challenge!!!

Okay this is what I used:

Drink - Soda - Banner

Appetizer - veggies and dip - squares, on the bottom of the page with the stars in them.

Main Course - Burger -  One cardstock and one patterned paper

Side Dish - French Fries - Stars

Salad - Tossed - something green - in the banner and the squares were a green but they don't look like it on the picture.

Dessert - I used bling dots in two corners and an extra sheet of paper and a journaling strip.
