Yumm...tacos sound GOOD!joannie wrote:Saturday lunch...I'm going to throw a frozen pizza in for whoever is home. I will be eating a late lunch at the bridal shower that I'm going to ....now for supper...I'm planning on something for them (whoever is home) to just heat and eat because more than likely I won't want to eat at 5:30 if I ate a late lunch. Maybe I can make extra taco meat on Friday for Saturday!!
Well, that sorta stinks...seems she would've told you up front she can only stay to 4, otherwise it should've been a day for you and her...all day. Just my opinion.sherelm wrote:Since I'll be scrapping at a store, I just asked my friend where she wanted to go for supper since lunch and breakfast is provided (we'll be scrapping 7am until midnight ) After asking me to go with her she says she's leaving at 4 because her husband made dinner plans. So I figure I'll get a sandwich from Friendly's as takeout. SIGH.....

I usually cook up some dishes for us to eat on through the week on Thurs or Fri. I think for Sat, we'll order a pizza. Saving my leftovers for my work week days.

For NSD, I invited a couple friends over to scrap, so I will probably put something in my crock pot to go with whatever everyone else is bringing, we are doing potluck. How does bourban BBQ pulled chicken sandwiches sound? And maybe some homemade coleslaw??
I will probably have lots of snacky foods to munch on all day. However, if I do decide to cook it will be very quick and easy that day. Maybe deli meats and other items from the deli and then when I get hungry make a sandwich etc.
We always eat out on Saturday even if it is just fast food takeout or a nice restaurant. Benefits of being old(er) and no kids at home. Plus I am on the west coast so crop will conclude at 5pm out here.

I just got back from the grocery store and bought some snacks but I think I may need MORE!! LOL!!!Sandi0805 wrote:I will probably have lots of snacky foods to munch on all day. We usually eat out on Saturday for the same reason So I'm thinking maybe hubby can get pickup from one of our favorite local places. I'm so hungry now reading about all this food and coming home from the grocery store. But we running back out to visit my more and then a few more places (I want to go to the Container Store to look for more storage ideas for my scrap room) and then we can stop for something to eat. We live close to lots of restaurants but they are always packed on Saturday nights and so we usually go early but it doesn't look like we'll able to get anywhere early tonight.Charleneanne wrote:We always eat out on Saturday even if it is just fast food takeout or a nice restaurant. LOL...Great idea! On second thought...I think we may be too busy for a mid state meet up this week....emmapaige wrote:Sounds awesome - how about we meet mid-state and you can give me some!!Sara M. wrote: For NSD, I invited a couple friends over to scrap, so I will probably put something in my crock pot to go with whatever everyone else is bringing, we are doing potluck. My kids will be running in their first race on Saturday evening, just a half mile but still a big deal for them. I imagine we will probably stop somewhere on the way home to grab dinner...most likely Erberts and Gerberts (sandwhiches), as this is my boys' favorite place to eat out.
I usually combine NSD and Cinco de Mayo, because they're usually days apart, sometimes they're the same day! I'm planning on making Chipotle-at-home. I use their marinade on pork roast or a beef roast, this year it's a beef roast, and cook it in the Crock Pot. We'll have egg-and-cheese burritos for breakfast, quesadillas for lunch, and Chipotle, complete with cilantro lime rice, for supper.
I'm glad I don't have to hunt for my food. I don't even know where sandwiches live.
Actually, my DH will be headed to work at 11:30 am till midnight, so I will be alone. That means no big dinner plans, just something small to snack on.

It's not my night to cook so I don't have to do anything but eat.lol
We have an Italian place nearby that delivers so I am sure that is what we will be having.

BF will be grilling something for me. I will make the salad ahead of time. If he decides to go somewhere, I always have frozen pizza

I used to be indecisive; now I'm not sure.

My sister (a NONscrapper) is coming to the Hershey scrapbook store long enough for me to take a break, and we're running up to Friendly's and grabbing a burger and shake. That's my plan!
