NSD - Non-Scrappy Question
With Brandy's post today, it got me thinking about things I need to get done within ten days so I can enjoy a full day of non-stop scrapbooking with all of you!

So, I ask, what are the top 5 things you must do (non-scrappy) before you feel good about scrappin'? Let's face it, we all scrap and ignore things... I don't always feel good about it, lol ;)

Here are mine:
1. Family is warned - Do not Disturb - You are on your own  (this only consists of BF, so it's pretty easy for me)
2. Fur family is taken care of - Dogs pooped from exercise, Cats drugged on catnip, litter boxes cleaned.
3. Laundry done
4. Kitchen/Bathroom cleaned
5. My quick meals are ready/Snacks in place

Re: NSD - Non-Scrappy Question
1.  All homeschool lessons have to be complete.
2.  The house, all of it, must be cleaned.
3.  The laundry must be done.
4.  Meals must be pre-cooked and ready for the day.
5.  The portable phone needs to be charged so I don't have to get up from the table!  Yep, we still have old fashioned wall phones!
OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

Re: NSD - Non-Scrappy Question
Order what I need....  Already done ~ Adhesives and veneers.

With adult children it's easy!  Do not disturb Mom!
Larry, I need fast internet and no clouds.....so no I am not going to the ranch.
Larry, the weekend after NSD is my monthly crop so not going to ranch then either.
Larry, I need the key to the office just in case internet goes down at house.

Stock up on snacks, water and Cherry Coke.

Overall I have the best family who puts up with my paper and paste addiction.

Re: NSD - Non-Scrappy Question
1. House has to be cleaned (or at least picked up) It's only me and my husband at home - so laundry isn't a very big issue.
2. Hubby is alerted. And is reminded daily from now until April 30.
3. Son is coming for the weekend, but he is already on notice and plans to spend the day with his dad.
4. Veggie snacks cut up and prepped. High protein snacks on hand. Pop purchased: latest obsession - Squirt. Iced tea & hot tea at the ready.
5. Clean the scrap room.

Re: NSD - Non-Scrappy Question
I like your list!  A few times on crop days/weekends my ds tried to bring the grand babies in to see if my little lovebugs can entice me out of the scrap room!  So, this year I did not even tell him that we had a crop coming up!!

1.  the house must be cleaned, cleaned, CCLEANED!
2.  get groceries for snacks...  I will cook a decent dinner the night before and will pretty much have the house to myself Saturday so I only need to worry about me then Image
3.  buy more ink and get pictures printed ahead of time
4.  put some 'kits' together with my photos
5.  organize the scrap room so I can find what I need

Re: NSD - Non-Scrappy Question
1.  Family warned.
2.  Scrappy snacks/drinks available.
3.  Bring laptop in scrap room, it is SO much faster than the desk top.
4.  Clean scrap area.
5.  Clean scrap area.

I highly doubt my scrap room will EVER be cleaned up, but it is worth dreaming about!

Re: NSD - Non-Scrappy Question
1. Grocery shop tomorrow and make sure to buy enough food since I will NOT be grocery shopping next Saturday.
2. Visit Mom since I won't be able to visit next weekend.
3.  Finish reorganizing my scrap room
4. Clean my scrap room
5. Clean the rest of the house - but probably not.  As long as my scraproom is clean, I really don't care about the rest of the house.  I don't plan to spend much time anywhere else except my scraproom!  Image

Re: NSD - Non-Scrappy Question
My family is pretty self-sufficient but there are a few things...
1. Tell DD that Mom's taxi service is shut down for the day!
2. Lunch...easy....frozen pizza...dinner...? I need to pre-plan that meal!
3. I have to go to a bridal shower that afternoon so I'm going to make sure I park where I have no problem if I want to leave early!
4. Make sure my camera is charged and my laptop!
5. DVD's are picked out, ready to pop in the VCR! I need noise!!

Re: NSD - Non-Scrappy Question
My Top 5
1. Warn family members that this is my time and not theirs. I love them all dearly but someone must really be bleeding or broken if they disturb me on NSD.
2. I need a clean area to start. If it isn't then I feel guilty.
3. I need to have spoken to my mother. Ok, yes it is funny but I hate blowing her off, and if there is a game going on or a timed challenge, then I don't have time for a long conversation and I really do hate blowing her off.
4. Food plan for day. I don't want to miss a moment of NSD so food plans have to be made prior to the start of NSD. This does include the "right" kinds of snacks, drinks, and of course chocolate.
5. Making sure I have basics on hand like adhesive. And that I know where things like my ATG gun and scissors are.

Work clothes ready for Sunday
DH warned I'll need his help with DS
Dinner in a crock pot or sweet talk dh into ordering pizza
Since I have to work the next 3 days, I'll have to inform dh this table will be tied up for a few days until I can get back to it. Don't touch anything!
Inform kids that not a good day to visit grandma and pawpaw.

I always feel like all of my "real" work (for my job) needs to be done, the house cleaned, and my scraproom organized.  Totally unrealistic.
