I haven't done that in years and wanted to share some photos from 1995 with relatives in Ireland, but I want to make sure I can get some copies made before I do that. I wouldn't even know where to take or send them at this point. Any ideas? Thanks!

I was able to get copies made from negatives at a camera store - of course there aren't a whole lot of those around anymore.

Several of the all in one printers will scan the negatives and print the prints off of them.

Another option is to have the negatives digitized. I had my wedding photos done a few years ago. Now they are like digital photos and I can print them over and over if I want. I had a local camera shop do mine. They are a bit pricey, though.

There's a new box service I'm thinking of trying, they say they will digitize anything and I have a ton of old video tapes (hi-8 and 8mm) that I have no way of viewing, as well as old negatives, old home movies (on the reels), etc. I was hoping to find someone who had successfully used them before I sent all my stuff off. I'm also hoping to remember the name of the company that caught my eye.

we had all my Grandparens old home movies put onto cd's several years ago at Costco....don't know if that is still a service they offer but it was nice to not have to mail it all and trust the postal system..lol

I heard Wal- Mart still develops old negatives to prints. I heard of a website called The Darkroom, where you can sent any of your old negatives, or even old home videos to their company they'll develop them for you. Here the link if you want to check them out http://thedarkroom.com/
It seems like a good company I haven't yet sent any of my old family negatives, or even old home movies to them. But kept it bookmark just in case if I'm brave enough to give them a try, and sent out a few old negatives in the future.

Thank you, ladies! I've been so swamped with work but have been saving these notifications so I could respond! I don't have a Walmart or Walgreens nearby and I really do NOT like the quality from my local Rite Aid. I had printed a bunch of pics there a while ago and the prints are all curled up. Never again 
. I went to Shutterfly which is who I use now, but they don't seem to accept negatives anymore, if they ever did.

I have a digital scanner that you can send neagitives through and onto an sd card, it's a small photo scanner to ,I LOVE IT...it's pandigital...

I have a photo/negative scanner by ION. It scans the image onto an SD card which can be uploaded to your computer. There are several different sized trays for 3x5, 4x6 & 5x7 prints plus another one for negatives & slides. It's time consuming but when I usually work on it while I'm watching TV or something. ETA..it's super easy to use.
