Hi everyone, just want ed to ask everyone's opinion, hope it's not to much of a silly question, but is anyone still into making banners for layouts, cards, ect. I was thinking about buying a set of large banner dies from Paper Smooches on here, personally, I'm still on the banner bandwagon, lol, do you think i should buy the set?

I'm with Joannie, go for it. I think banners are awesome. I will make a banner out of just about anything and I believe they can be the perfect touch needed on a layout. Check out some of the banners I have added to layouts if you would like to.

I'm definitely still on the banner bandwagon! I thought about investing in dies, too. There are some cute ones out there. I have a couple banner flag punches I use on a regular basis. I found this idea on pinterest I thought I'd share. maybe most of you cherries already know this trick, but I've been making all my banners this way since I saw it. I use a 1 1/2" inch square punch, and this trick will work for skinny or wide banners. Not sure what dies you have in mind, because I know there are some cute ones in different styles, but thought I'd share.

Great trick! I use kind of a digital version of that method when I scrap digitally, but if I make a paper project I usually just hand cut them. I'll have to remember this!StacyLeeD wrote:I'm definitely still on the banner bandwagon! I thought about investing in dies, too. There are some cute ones out there. I'm not tired of seeing banners yet. there are so many shapes you can use to make them look different.

Two cartridges I have from Creative Memories that have both pennant shapes and banners are "Holiday Frames and Tags" and "Tiny Treasures". You can also find them on CTMH's "Artbooking" cartridge and on "When I was a Kid." There are some pennant shapes on "Straight from the Nest," "Carousel," "Country Life," "Create a Critter 2," and "Small Talk Frames and Tags." These are just the ones I know of. You might find them on a cartridge under layers or icons and have to play around with the real dial size or hide some cuts if you use a gypsy or CCR. Good luck finding some banners hopefully on a cart you have!! If not, I'd suggest the Small Talk Frames and Tags--it's a newer one and needs the universal overlay. And, I do love my Artbooking cartridge!jnet wrote:Oooh, which cricut cartridge cuts banners?joannieI still LOVE banners. I have a punch and i have a cart for the cricut that I use.
