I find now and then my wishlist has reached hundred of items! So I have started going through it every month or so and winnowing out items. Tougher to do than I imagined. So when I load up on seasonal items and that season has come and gone and then some, I am now removing most of those items from the wishlist. For instance most of my spring, Easter, and lighter colored stuff will now hit the chopping block since I am adding fall and Christmas stuff like crazy. ACOT helps a lot by discontinuing collections when they are out of season too.
So do you have a plan to keep your wishlist manageable? Or just add willy nilly when you see something you like and "might" buy? Mine is still well over 100 items unfortunately.
Mine was getting out of control so I deleted it ALL and am making myself start over. Well I did that this last week.

I purged out some older, discontinued product in my wishlist yesterday. I ended up getting rid of a bunch of stuff - like 20 items. I still have about 107 items.

I definitely need to clean mine up before the August Envie gets posted.
Once my total hits $150. or more, I kinda cringe and start deleting things.

I add anything and everything that I want...so mine sits at thousands of dollars at this moment. Yes, I do need to pare it down drastically and will do so soon. I hate that ACOT is discontinuing lines so soon: for instance, DL Daydreamer. I had several things that I wanted to purchase (stamps, Thickers) from that line but when I went back to transfer them to my basket they had been discontinued...after only a matter of months. I have noticed that stuff doesn't go on sale, it's just discontinued. Hmmm.Charleneanne wrote:I find now and then my wishlist has reached hundred of items! LOL! Mine just keeps growing. I only take things off when I buy them or get them from my SS. Otherwise, they are still there. I'm too lazy to even delete the discontinued items. Makes me sad, though when things are discontinued and I didn't get them, even though I need them like I need a hole in my head!

Mine is gone because I made a purchase today. I also deleted stuff. It felt good.
Mine is always big. When I do weed things out, it doesn't seem to matter because something new will come out or I will discover a new company, etc. and then I'm back to square one. I was doing fairly decent until the new Heidi Swapp & Project Life items just came out at Michael's, but it was worth it. Their new stuff is awesome!
I add things as I go through the new products and every once in a while I go back and delete items that were discontinued or decide I won't really use. Right now, there's 111 things on my list.
the only time I use my wish list is when I am ready to place an order and there are things in my basket that I am not wanting to order just now. I move items, place my order and then move them back to my basket.

Well I stared all over again. Sometimes I just get so overwhelmed it drives me nuts. LOL! Plus, I had not scrapped for a few years really so there is so much even in the clearance I want. I am thinking of clearance basket etc. I am hoping to place an order soon.Charleneanne wrote:Wow you are one tough person. Mine is a little over $800 right now. I am not putting in an order until Black Friday so I am hoping there is a big sale then! I guess my way of doing it is put everything I like on my wish list and then see what is still in stock by the time I out in my order! I will also go through it before I place my order to try and get it down a little more!
So far I just keep adding. I add project specific items and then wait for a sale. My wishlist hasn't gotten out of control as of yet.
I've never heard the term "winnowing" before - what does it mean?
My basket and wishlist are pretty full right now...I go back and remove stuff that I haven't bought but just thought it was pretty. Trying to focus on buying for a particular project or layout...

I try to keep it manageable...But, I have to admit that it's been a little out of control lately!
