Feeding the Flamingo's***UPDATE***
I am so excited tomorrow we are going to the Aviary and have scheduled to go in the Flamingo Enclosure and feed them. So excited.  I have my camera all charged and ready to go.

UPDATE: We had a blast!
Almost 200 photos Later. Of course my sports shot was on. so we have plenty to choose from.
There are some photo's in the gallery. NO not 200!  LOL!

We took a Wet Lands bird tour.
We went to the Tracy Aviary and fed the flamingo's. First the tell you not to pet them if they come up to you and the flamingo ended up eating out of Jason's hand is 1 years old this month. Came up to him and ate out of his hand and mine. They Keeper was surprised he said he has never eaten out of any ones hands except the Aviary staff. Noot was her name. She kept rubbing up against Jason like she wanted him to pet her and so of course how could he not feel her because of his hand touching her beak and her moving around. It was so amazing. I almost think she could tell Jason is blind.  There are photo's in the gallery of the flamingo experience and then some of the other birds. We did not get through the whole Aviary. Plan to go back sometime.
OH another funny story we heard some music playing in the Aviary and there was a musician playing a Cello and Violin.  We could hear it in the distance at that time we were by the pond with the Trumpeter Swans and they began to make their noise. Jason thought it was someone tuning a trumpet or saxophone to play with the music we heard. He did not believe me when I told him it was the swan. Took him quite a while before he believed me.
He also loved to just sit there and listen to the birds.  He could hear the different birds wings rustle in the water or as they flew.  A sweet woman saw him looking over the fence at the ducks in the water. Someone was feeding them. And she heard him say he could hear them.  So she wanted him to be able to feed them and cane and was going to give me a quarter to get him some food to feed them. I thought that was so kind. I thanked her and told her I had a quarter an I want and got some and he was able to hear some more as the came for the food.

This sounds like so much fun.  Be sure to take lots of pics.  Flamingos are so beautiful and I can't wait to see your pics and/or layout.  We got to wash the elephants at our zoo several years ago.  The grandkids loved it.    What an great experience you will have.

OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

Thanks for the great story! We went to Busch Gardens last year and flamingos ate from my GiGi's hand...and proceeded to try to eat the hairband off her wrist! They are the best...pretty, weird, & funny!

You are welcome. It was a great experience. I love to experience life with him and help him see things that he has not seen an experienced. He appreciates the Little things.   I have learned so much from him.  That is funny about Gigi and the headband. so cute!
