In answer to your question-No. No, You do not need to grow up now. I'll be 40 this year and have been a grandparent for 6yrs. Granted my DGD comes from my 14 year older DH's oldest daughter- umm let me clarify, my DH is 14yrs older than me, not his daughter-LOL but still. . . my answer is No. Embrace this new change but never grow up! Congrats on gaining a DIL. Hopefully it is a good gain. Oh, and yes, your son looks like he belongs working the counter at a 50's soda Shoppe.

You MUST never grow up... how boring!!! I'm 52 and my grandchildren are 14 & 15 - so I've been doing 'old' awhile. But GiGi says almost everyday: "What's up with my friends thinking you're cooler than me? They love you." Maybe it's because Will.I.Am is playing full-blast in the car and I'm dancing in my seat before they get in (then I turn it down, ); I'm obviously never ever growing up; and I appreciate the company!

Nancy, my boss's daughter married her partner this week as well. It's a long story, but it was so very nice to see such a lovely wedding party and gathering! My boss wasn't upset at the same sex marriage, but more so that the bride cheated on her daughter less than 8 months ago and is expecting a baby. I told her after all I've been thru with the loss of a wonderful 23 year old, let it ALL go.
I'm so happy for Adam, and may they live a long and happy life together!!!
