I am debating actually signing up and paying for a Big Picture Class....but I just can't decide. They have a Going Places class for $25 where they are doing 4 mini albums for vacation photos. I love mini albums but my mind has just been blank lately. I have taken a couple other classes at BPC over the years but never really finished. Has anyone else taken classes? Just wondering how you felt about them? Would love some input. Just can't decide if it is really worth the cost.
I tend to not finish big picture classes for some reason the only class I have finished lately would be a studio calico Maggie holmes mini album one....lol
Funny... I've never taken their courses because I 'heard' from several people that the instructors tend to not finish the classes. Hmmm....

I had signed up for several years ago and ashamed to admit I never finished any of them and a few I never even started. I always said I would go back and complete them but I never did. Maybe you have more dedication that I do!
I love their classes. I find I do best (aka finish) when I set an appointment for each week to "take" the class. Otherwise there is always something else to do and I don't finish the class.

I have won a couple of classes over the years and while I wasn't able to keep up with it "live" I like the fact that you can always go back into your account and do things at your own pace.
Happy Scrapping!

If you like mini albums, you might take a look at Kathy Orta at Paper Phenomenon. She creates all sorts of mini albums and offers tutorials on her blog. You may have seen her work in Tim Holtz' booth at CHA (or, like me, IN CHA pictures!!)
Are these on line classes?mommyribs wrote:I am debating actually signing up and paying for a Big Picture Class....but I just can't decide. I used to be indecisive; now I'm not sure.

I am the worst at signing up for classes and not finishing. (Would that make me the best at it? Haha ) I'll watch the videos and read all the prompts but I'm only about 40-60 for completing all the tasks. The forever access makes that OK with me as I get something from reviewing the materials even if I don't put it to use within the context of the class.
I have never taken an online class but I am thinking of doing Becky Flecks University.

I haven't taken any of the online classes. I haven't really found one that I liked other than actual art/drawing classes.
It is nice to know that I am not the only one who has started one of the online classes and then never finished. I think it will be even harder for me now with a baby in addition to my 2 teens. I am SO torn! LOL! I am really in need of some inspiration for a mini album I would like to do from a weekend in NY back in 2004! YIKES! Just can't decide if it will be worth the $25 or not.
Will go check out the blog that was mentioned to see if that might help.

Maybe this will help with the inspiration. :)
I took the recent sketch class by Donna Jannuzzi. I had a death in the family and so I never finished the class. But I still have all the reference material (sketches) that I can use at any time. More than several of the BPC seem interesting but they are way out of my budget.
Thank you so much!! I am now following your board...think I will save my $25 and try to put together a mini on my own using Pinterest and Google.christinec68 wrote:Here's a link to my mini-album board on pinterest.mommyribs wrote:It is nice to know that I am not the only one who has started one of the online classes and then never finished.
