My local scrapbook store is closing...don't be sad, they aren't going under, she just couldn't find a buyer for it and wants to move to be closer to her family. The product itself isn't marked down that great (unless you're buying used class supplies, which I did...I FINALLY own a brayer!!). The best part of going to closing sales for businesses is that you get the chance to buy displays This is a display for something called a Spica glitter marker (I looked it up because I was curious) and it's awesome. I got it for THREE DOLLARS. The one I was looking at from Stamp N Storage was half the size and $40+ with shipping so this is awesome. I am not yet certain where I will put it, but it will be AMAZING storage for my copics and other markers that require horizontal storage. I am SO EXCITED to have found it. You have to pay cash for fixtures and whilst I was walking around, I learned of this. I didn't have cash on me and it was on hold at the front. As I was walking up to the front to clarify, someone else was trying to buy it (they told her it was on hold) but she looked kind of eager as I called hubby to make sure he would get me cash and later on, I heard her complaining about wanting it (for copics just like me) and repeating that my husband was bringing me cash, lol. I'm betting if I left, she was going to try and sneak it away and buy it. They had two other display units for the same price (one with an open bottom for inks and such and the other was the Tim Holtz distress marker holder) but I doubted I would have room for that many, even though it would have been nice for the price. The coolest part is that many marker units have a slight angle to them to make them easier to pull out (I'm guessing) and the lip where the labels used to be (I just finished cleaning it up...thank goodness for goo gone!) gives you that angle if you want to put it upside down. I'm thinking I might try to separate it and see how I like it as two pieces since it's held together with foam tape...if I want it back together...I can just use more foam tape. :) Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic!!
Congrats on the major find! I would love that in my scrappy room. I don't even have any scrap stores near me, so I look online all the time. No luck yet - but I'm persistent. Enjoy your $3 fantastic buy
Wonderful!!! I know you'll like it and it would be handy! For those who love markers it is the perfect storage solution.
I just found a similar unit to this in clear with 36 slots for $85!! Crazy! It makes me extra happy to have it! It's all cleaned up and looks beautiful!
wow cool! gotta love that eh? I bought my spinny stand at a store closing and I love it.

It looks like Spica is a copic product...so it's perfect that I am using it for Copics (similar barrel lengths).
Also, putting my new set of SU Blendabilities on it sideways fits a full trio perfectly. Love this thing but I really need to put away all of my bargain shopping (and shipments that arrived) from today and yesterday away so I can work on finding a home for it

Very nice buy! Plus if you ever pick up 500 Spica markers you'll have a place to store them. Actually, they're really nice glitter markers if you ever decide to pick some up. I like to outline some of my copic projects with them for something a little extra.
Glad you found such neat goodies at the closeout! I am still trying to figure out how to use my brayer. They were using them to do monoprints on T.V. on Wednesday (Scrapbook Soup, if anyone else watches it. ) and they looked pretty fun to try.

That is awesome! I am glad that you also said it was because of good rather than because it was just going under. I hate when any local business, especially when it is a small family owned business goes under. Enjoy your wonderful purchase!!!!!
That is awesome! Good deal. Great find.
