Thank you for this challenge. It inspired me to scrap photos of my cat from 2006. He ran away about a year later and these are the last photos I took of him. (I didn't combine)

Oh Shannon, my heart breaks for you!! But now you have a lovely page to thank him for the time he shared with you. This is beautiful - I love the execution, the photos, and your handwritten journaling. Stunning!! Thanks for playing!!!Craftyshannon wrote:Thank you for this challenge. I love the circles wider and the boy/girl colors you used. The kitty on the left looks a lot like my Clarkie!! I love the details you added - perfect!! Thanks for doing the challenge!!
My submission for the pet challenge is a lasso with furry fibers Yeehaw!

This photo was an 8x10 that hung on my bedroom wall at my grandparents house, of my mom when she was 2. and as soon as I saw your challenge calling for an old animal photo I knew I had to find this one.
Thanks, I love this page!

Here is my entry for this challenge. It feels good to be getting back into my scrapping and getting photos done that I have been meaning to do for a very long time!
Very cool lasso there, Kari!!! Lovely photo, and great colors!! Glad to have you joining in again with the challenges. You were missed!!Kari_H wrote:My submission for the pet challenge is a lasso with furry fibers Yeehaw!
I LOVE the story behind the photo, too - you need to put that on the back of your page - that it hung at your grandparents house!! I can relate - my aunt/Godmother passed away in 2001 and I was told I could have whatever pictures I wanted - I knew they meant "photos" but they did say "Pictures" - and so I "took" the painting of a wolf that was in my deceased grandmother's room the home. I would fall asleep as a child looking at the wolf overlooking the town.sweetsour wrote:This photo was an 8x10 that hung on my bedroom wall at my grandparents house, of my mom when she was 2. and as soon as I saw your challenge calling for an old animal photo I knew I had to find this one.

Thanks for the memories, and I love the way you scrapped this!
Did we ALL have a Penny, and she's at the rainbow bridge with MY Penie (we spelled it wrong - as little kids, it was a "go")? Your Penny is magnificent!! Look at that photo!!! (Ours was a rescue from the Humane Society, but we loved her just the same!) and yes, they still live in a little piece of our heart! Thanks for sharing the photo and doing the challenge!!grama of 2 wrote:My submission -

Oh Deanna, look at that face!! And you didn't bothre to scrap this sweetheart before now - well not THIS photo anyway? Shame on you, JK!!! Wow what a nice layout you did - the colors coordinate perfectly with the darling puppy photo!! Thanks for joining in - hope you do every month!!Deanna Kroll wrote:Here is my entry for this challenge. Here a layout I did. I saw your challenge and decided to give it my best shot. I use the sew easy kit to do the circle snitching. This layout is of my dad's childhood dog he and my uncle had as kids. There a lot of pictures with her with my dad, uncle and grandparents. But there also ones by herself. These are the two I picked. You can tell which one the original and which one is the copy. I decided to use the original because it was a bit damage. I thought it would last longer and be protected in the scrapbook. I decided to copy the other one. Because I didn't have the heart to take it out of it place. In my grandmother little blue photo album she had it in. All of her photos are in good condition in the little album book. So I decided to put the other original picture back in the pocket sleeve.
This sounds like a fun challenge. Love the sketch.

I do the exact same thing whenever possible - I use the original photo. I mean, really, what are you saving it for? It IS safer in here, and now your dad's "Sandy" will be remember for generations to come! I love the colors, and as I said - the use of the original photos!! Great job!!justies wrote:

First of all I have to say I'm honored that you chose this challenge to begin you submissions! I love this layout, it's a great interrpretation of making the sketch your own!! The dog is stunning! And I think we all had a "Lucky" - mine was a dalmation, so the same coloring. Thanks for sharing your work with us, and may this be the first of many!! I look forward to seeing them in the future!!Verity_DD wrote:My first ever submission, my first Border Collie 'Irish'.
Here's mine "Love is a four-legged word". I've been working on my heritage photos and this challenge worked perfectly. Look closely to find our puppy in the foreground of the photo. We got our first family dog Barry (Aaron Barron) for Christmas 1954 just after moving into our new house with my new baby sister Barbara. Barry was my brother Ben's dog but we all loved him. He was an English Setter that was small and had few colored spots so he looked mostly white. He lived 16 years. Thanks for the inspiration!

cute LO. great job.PezKat wrote:I love that layout! These were the oldest pics I had of our cats that I hadn't scrapped yet - from 2010 (and both have crossed the Rainbow Bridge since). I combined this with the BF Sketch since they were so similar. With so many picture I didn't have room for tons of little 'things' along the circles, but got a few used up! (Especially those little ball stickers - now only have 4 left, lol!) So thanks for the challenge-
