I found it so hard to pick photos for this challenge ~ while we've had lots of surprise parties, none of the pix seemed like "SURPRISE!" so I finally decided on this one.  My dad and his sibs organized this huge party for my grampa for his 75th.
And he WAS surprised! 
Thank you for the kick in the butt !

Well, I want to thank you for this challenge.  I actually got pics of my oldest granddaughters' first birthday scrapped of her and her cake.  She will be 16 this July.    I would say that a 1st birthday is definitely a milestone.  Here's my 2 page layout.

So here's my Surprise challenge.  For the Stash challenge, I checked off:

• 2 different washi colors/patterns (I used three - two from Amy Tangerine and one from Recollections)
  
• 2 or more buttons
  
• non-traditional item (the black "lines" are coffee stirrers and used yellow nail polish on two of the butterflies)
  
• paint/ink splatters
  
• number in the title
  
• animals - the wooden butterflies

Here's my layout!  I was able to meet the milestone aspect, as I scrapped about my DD#2's first birthday!  She's 3 1/2 now, and I'm stiill not done, lol!  This layout is about her friends joining her on the floor for a snack.  Two of my besties and I had babies within 5 months of each other--they were meant to be friends as well, lol!

oh Kim, this is so precious!!!  I love the layering and the embellishments you used!  wonderful job on the challenge!!!
