The original concho associated with agriculture was used in regards to ranch work. Mostly on saddles and was taken from the Central and South American cultures. Today a concho can look very different then when I was child and had my first horse. They had already moved to decorative pieces on saddles. Below is a link where you can look at the variety of conchos.
