If you are working on a challenge, can you use pages that you made from a scrapbook kit? ie Studio Calico kit etc? I have a ton of collection packs as well as kit club kits that I would really like to make a dent in, but then wondered if that is ok.
I believe you can, as long as you follow the challenge rules.jlparkmark wrote:If you are working on a challenge, can you use pages that you made from a scrapbook kit? ie Studio Calico kit etc? Laura
I've used kits I've purchased as in Kit Club. But like Laura stated one has to follow the challenge rules. I've only purchased one page kit (class kit) and still sitting in the box it's stored in....still love the colors. I didn't take the class and they offered the left over kits in an LSS that is no longer open. To me the monthly kits are the same as if you purchased the paper and embellishments at any other store. Someone just coordinated everything for you. I really miss my kit club....but I've got to reduce my stash and use up some of my kits, too!
I just put my own kit together as I participate in the CKCB blog when I have time on any given month. Kind of fun forging kits offered for sale on the net. They don't sell anything. I am not a creative person by nature...I have to work at it and this blog has been just another step in that process for me. When it comes to the kit I created this month there isn't much wiggle room. But of the embellishments in the kit I'll sure pull them to use if I need them. I then break the kit down at the end of the month and put it all up. Yay....using older stuff up because of this blog and then this month I won't be doing that....most is under a year old in this kit.

Absolutely fine - as Laura said, as long as the rules of the particular challenge are followed, it's no problem. The only general restrictions are:
- cannot be a pre-made page or project
- cannot be a page you made prior to the challenge being posted
- cannot have been published or posted anywhere else prior to posting here
- cannot be used in more than one ACOT challenge
