Chocolate Covered Cherry

Re: NSD Preparations
I am going to a NSD Diva Crop.  I plan to borrow a laptop to bring so I can check in with the cherries.  Problem is, all I know how to do is turn it on.  I only use it at home to collect cherries because it is faster than the desktop I am using.

Hubby is staying home, DD is working on her Silver Award with the Girl Scouts.

Re: NSD Preparations
This year I did not plan adequately... I allowed the in-laws to visit this weekend without realizing the conflict!!!  At least I can participate in the week-long challenges.

As far as other prepping, I should at least clean my scrappy space and print some pictures.  Not sure if I'll actually get around to that before the weekend though...

Re: NSD Preparations
Any TV/DVD watchers while you scrap, you may want to plan ahead and pick out some familiar movies that you can listen to while you scrap away!! But Saturday i usually sit in front of the computer and play the online games and do the fast scraps. I will then scrap Sunday and thru the week!!! :)  Image

Food-wise, DH is told he will have to make me breakfast. He always makes me strawberry waffles on crop days. Lunch is either leftovers or he makes or buys me something. Dinner is usually leftovers or he makes or buys me something.

Yeah, I see a trend, a good one.  What time should I show up at your house, Brandy???????

Re: NSD Preparations
The biggest help for me was by lunchtime last year I realized I had "set" the table with a "cut station", glue station, supplies (i.e scrap paper, buttons) and I found we made a lot of cards, so I needed to gather more card making supplies, too.  While I'm not a real card maker like some, I did find myself using all the cards from last year that I made and used the money I would have spent on a card on more scrapbook stuff!

Re: NSD Preparations
When my kids were younger I would make easy meals. Something in the crock pot or make a lasagna. Now they are teenagers so I give them money and they drive to get take out food.

I tell hubby he's in charge and not to bother me unless someone is bleeding or vomiting. I print my photos and set up my scrappy area. I've done maybe 6 or 7 online crops including here at ACOT. They are always fun!!

I'm going to my nephew's wedding during the crop. Have fun ladies!!

Re: NSD Preparations
Nothing.  I still have to work in the morning, and I'm hoping dh won't want me to go boating with him Saturday, but he has already said he wants to.  Maybe I can convince him to on Sunday instead?

Hmmm... I can compromise.  We need to re-new the boat trailer, and we have been fighting over who should do it.  Maybe I'll tell him I'll do it tomorrow if he doesn't take the boat out Saturday.  I mean, he can go without me, but then it makes me look like a party pooper to my kids.

Re: NSD Preparations
I put DH on notice that he will be running any weekend errands and picking us up breakfast and dinner (or he can cook if he wants...yeah, right)
I picked up photo paper at Best Buy last Saturday.
Since Best Buy didn't have my printer ink, I ordered it online and is due to arrive on Friday.
I placed a huge ACOT order on Monday and hoping it get it on Friday so I can get unpacked and be ready for 1st thing Saturday morning.
I am cleaning and organizing my scrap space which means I need to pay all outstandjng bills on my desk since my scraproom is also our home office.

I'm sure I'm missing something so I will keep checking this thread!!! Image
