random.org chose #7
THE WINNER IS blfonty
Congrats Bonnie!!!!
It's March 1st somewhere!!!!
Yay ladies!! Once posted I'm off to bed with a list a mile long to do tomorrow and totally stressed over it!
I have really been enjoying seeing the layouts with snow! Yay!!! I don't live where there is SNOW! Or at least it goes away really quickly when it does snow or ice.
I know a huge number of you are DONE with winter and wish it would just go away. So let's dig in the photo boxes and see if you have an older photo of snow. Has to be at least 5 years old....and YOU HAVE TO GIVE THE YEAR WHEN POSTING IT HERE. I'll give you an extra entry if it's older then 10 years. In both cases you want to accent the age of the photo by the papers you use. No other qualifiers!!
Once again ladies, your interpretation of papers....I'm not answering questions on that sentence.
Here's my example and I'm sure many have already seen it. Taken of the Delaware Water Gap in the early 1930's at my Maternal Grandfather's place near Shawnee-on-the-Delaware, PA
No Heritage Gallery will be up. Post your layouts here by 11:59 PM ACOT Time March 31, 2014. Please link the photo so I can leave comments for your beautiful work! Winner will receive from me a $5 ACOT GC as chosen by random.org. And yes you can enter as many times as you wish.

It does not snow often where I am now, but when I lived up north.....I am sure I have snow photos!

GREAT challenge! I definitely have lots of older snowy photos to scrap!

beautiful page - I think I have a photo of my brothers and I in the snow somewhere
I'm sure I have something 5 to 10 years old. Thanks for the challenge!
Kim
Ok, this is more for the Cherries up north that don't believe us Texas gals when we tell the "stories" of old about our huge snowstorm.
I went digging for the promised photo in my previous post, and found a scrapbook I created for my two youngest daughters. One was not quite two at the time, and I was pregnant with the youngest. This happened in January, 1985, now 29 years ago.
The snow was real, and it SHUT the city down, literally, for four days.
Here's the cover page. If you click on the image, it will take you to the rest of the pages. I used YELLOW (???) construction paper and laminated, then whole punched. I was surprised that the scanner did not pick up a reflection from the lamination.

we go a few years without snow, or enough snow worth saying 'look at the snow' around here let alone taking pictures, but I think I may be able to dig something up! Love this!

This pic is 23 years old. It is my son during a snow storm in 1991. The journaling reads: Bobby James had to go out and help Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Bob shovel snow. His weapon of choice a stick. Gotta love him.
Here's mine, combo with the What's on TV. My son is just 4 here, proud of his very 1st snowman.
can't believe that was 19 years ago!!

Here's mine for your challenge, Kim! Photos of DH when he was little with his older siblings, 1960.

Here's mine from the 1950's - Winter Memories Also used the Becky Fleck Sketch #63. The Authentique "Seasons" collection for winter was perfect for the heritage feel of this layout. Photos show my brother, sister and me (in the middle, behind big snowball) in the snow. Thanks for the challenge!
blfonty a.k.a. Bonnie
Didn't think I would find older photos of the kids in snow, but I did! My two daughters are two years apart, and spent lots of time playing together. These photos are definitely older than 10 years....the newest one is from 1994 when they were home on college break, and STILL played together in the snow!! The earlier ones are 1977 and 1978. Don't know how they got so old!! Thanks for a great challenge....I think my papers fit the heritage theme!
