after all I am the one that pushed for us to come back to CO. But see while I love LOOKING at the mountains I do not like being IN them. Well, this weekend we are going skiing. I want Cole to learn since this is where we hope to stay but I am literally TERRIFIED to drive to ya know where it is high up to actually ski. I haven't skied in over 15 years and then it was only cause I was trying to do something Geo liked to do. I was decent at it but never really liked it. I am more of a FL let's water ski girl than lets go up in the mountains--freeze our tushes off--expect those orange things to stop us from going down the side of the mountain?!?! kind of girl.

I'm not a skier! But the mountains are beautiful!! I was terrified, riding in our van going up Mt Evans! YIKES!!! That was a LONG drop if ya didn't stay on the road! And it wasn't worth it, it was so foggy at the top we couldn't see a thing! We picked the wrong day to go up! I almost cried! No good photos except we did stop to see some goats in the fog!

you will have FUN! I loved to ski til I got older and it was MUCH harder on my body....and I discovered I didn't enjoy the COLD.......was fun in high school when it was about boys and being with your friends..LOL
its great that you want to encourage Cole to do something his Dad enjoys much more than you do
with that said I have SERIOUS issues with mountain roads...like on the panic attack level..........I play games on my phone and DONT look out the windows..LOL

I am glad I am not alone in this. Really most people here are like pffftt whatever the roads are fine. Who cares if they don't have guard rails?!?! I am like WHAT?!?!?
I finally got the native CO peeps to understand by saying if we were on a boat FAR off the coast it would not bother me...that is what I grew up with. They were all like WHAT?!?!? Made me feel better.

I am scared to death of skiing, but the roads don't bother me at all. I worked at a ski resort here in Oregon for 4 years so my kids could learn to snowboard and do it free. I tried to learn to ski, but it was terrifying for me! Can't wait to see your pics!

I miss skiing. I was going to Breckenridge near Easter for several years before I got married 14 years ago. Now, I am afraid I am out of shape.

and we are off. Staying tonight closer to the ski area as Cole has to be there at 8:45 for ski school. How bad is it that I was hoping my husband would say "why don't I take him and you stay home?"....stupid family time.
