Good morning cherries! Anybody scrapping today? Me - not sure. I do need to start packing for the crop. It shouldn't take long as I'm gonna take most of the new stuff with me so I can work on my step son's album. Grab some solid cardstock and some unopened alphas, some washi tape and my SewEasy and I think I'll be good to go!
How about you?
Yes. I am going to do something scrap related if it kills me today. ha!! This morning, I had some extra time so I sat at my table watching the weather & traffic for a few minutes but looking longingly at the project I have spread all over the table.
Brandy, it sounds like you're almost set for your crop!! Is it a weekend crop? Is it far from your house?

Good Morning Cherries!
I have been out of pocket for the past few days-- I am here!
Yesterday was upsetting my sweet MAZEE was refusing breakfast -- which is NOT her nature, In fact I don't remember a time when she has EVER refused breakfast. So I took her temp --103.4 So I knew it was vet time. I took a vacation day, and then the vomiting and diarrrhea started. The vet did some tests but they don't really know sent her home with medicene and wait and see if she is not better then we will do more extensive blood work and xrays etc. she would just lay and moan between going out to be sick and potty and sleep. Finally about 6ish hil came home from work and mazee wagged her tail and raised her head up and seemed a bit better. She wanted to eat breakfast this morning. I said no siree!! I gave her a bit of yogurt to start out with and see how that works. I gave her a bit before bed last night and she kept that down. The other doggies are jealous as they like yogurt too!! LOL
Murph has settled in very well !
On another note-- I completed my Dec Daily/JYC album over the past weekend. It is 63 pages, now mind you some of these are the 8 x 8 pocket pages and some regular 12 x 12 and some 12 x 12 pocket pages. I hadn't worked with pocket pages at all before and I really had fun using them. They did help me work on some things during the week too as it was easier to work on a small layout over a big 12 x 12. I will have to take some pics at some point if you guys are interested in seeing it.
Then this week I was looking at a scrap blog and saw someone making a mini book from a gift bag. I thought that would be a perfect thing to do for my friend's grandbaby who I am scrapping (ok-- I haven't scrapped him in awhile because of lost mojo then working on my dec/jyc) ANYWAYS !!! I went through the baby shower stuff and found a really cute gift bag and have converted it to a mini book!! I will attach the pages as a slot in the bottom that I will thread 3 1/2 inch chevron burlap ribbon through and attach on the sides of the book. I will take pics soon and post. The outer album turned out AWESOMEly cute!! I am happy to say-- I really wasn't sure at first!
So anyways I more than likely will not scrap today but I have ideas......

I am hoping I can scrap today after work. I have no errands to run, but it will be a slow drive home. I started to snow early this morning and the commute to work was slow. Well they are saying we are supposed to get an inch per hour all the way til noon. So I am sure the commute home will be a slow one too. I only have a couple of last minute things to do on my photo book of my parents and those are dependant on both my sister and DH. They each are supposed to look for a picture for me today.
I can't wait to do the next LO I have in my mind. Here is a brief story - a year or so ago DD#2 put some jar cheese sauce in the microwave and it blew up all over the place. Well of course I took a picture of it. Well just the other day DD#1 put a hard boiled egg in there just to take the chill off of it. She has done this before with no problems. Well not this time. It blew up. Yes, we now have a picture of that too. So I would like to scrap the 2 photos together and do something about Microwave 101 or something on those lines.

Mildred - Mom to 2 girls and a husband (I tell people that I am a single mom of 3. Ages 59, 37 and 31) lol. And a proud Grandma to Orahn (7) Sawyer (5) and Mazie (3).
Poor Mazee - I hope she feels better today and everything is good.suewho372 wrote:Good Morning Cherries!

I finished up a card this morning before work and snapped a picture of it. It's in the gallery! I shouldn't scrap after work, but definitely need to put stuff away!

Oy about the microwave mishap but it will be a fun layout!
I hope you have safe commutes and that your sister & DH pull out those pictures for you!
The crop is at my friend's place. Not sure how we are gonna squeeze six of us in her 2 bedroom apt, but I guess we'll have to manage right? It started out being at my friend Misty's house when there four of us. Then five. Then six. Then she had kids. So having it at her place meant she had to find a place to put her two kids and her hubby up for the weekend. Then we had it at another friends apt, third floor even. In the middle of a South Texas summer. No fun getting our stuff up and down there. Then starting in Sept 2011, it was at my place. My scrap area is large enough for the 6 of us and all of our stuff and the doggies! But now, with my parents moving in and DH is now taking up half of my scrap room, I just don't have the room to host a crop. So after some major consideration, my friend Dorothy said she'd give it a shot. We shall see.christinec68 wrote:Yes. I am going to do something scrap related if it kills me today. ha!! And her place isn't far. Just about 20 mins away. On a good traffic day. I'm packing light to make sure I don't take too much stuff. Since we will be in the living room of her apt!

And that last post made me Sweet Cherry Pie It took one month to move up from a Cherry Berry.

I am sure she'll move things around to make room for all of you. And being together is most of the fun anyways! Have a great time!!

Oh no..poor sweet mazee! Hugs to her. I hope she feels better really soon. My baby Bear didn't eat this morning either. She pottied okay and is wagging her tail when she saw my BFF. So I'm about to try feeding her again.mgehrke wrote:Poor Mazee - I hope she feels better today and everything is good.suewho372 wrote:Good Morning Cherries!

I hope the crop goes good at the new location-- will you guys do the sleep over thing like when you had it at your house? It would be so fun to have people to scrap with !blbabe1234 wrote:Good morning cherries! Anybody scrapping today? Me - not sure. I do need to start packing for the crop. I am so glad your Mazee is acting like she is on the mend! So hard when our furbabies are ill. Third day with no school here, but I do not have the kids. Their Dad is home. I have a tech coming to check some internet issues this afternoon, but other then that I am scrapping. I have the bingo grid on table, just trying to figure out where to put the blue, lol.
