I saw something like this online...(It wasn't used for washi but I thought it would be great for that!!) can't remember the site, now!! I copied a pic of it and sent it to my dad and asked if he could make me something like it. He called me the very next day and said it was done already!!!! I wish I could build stuff like he does!!! Love this guy!!!! We work together every day...I'm a pretty lucky girl!!!
Wow! How awesome for you! That's a really sweet thing that he did for you.

Yeah. He's great! I have many pieces that he's made for me. We made an entertainment center together. He made my son's bunkbed. He made our kitchen table. He also made me a cabinet where I keep all my patterned paper! AND I have 2 hutches he made when he was in high school. He's the best!blbabe1234 wrote:Wow! How awesome for you! Oh wow your dad is a great woodworker! Some people are just gifted with it. Other people (like my boyfriend from high school cut most of his finger off with a band saw!!!)

Yeah...the tip of my dad's right index finger is crooked from cutting it so much...luckily he still has it!!!!Elannah wrote:Oh wow your dad is a great woodworker! Some people are just gifted with it. Other people (like my boyfriend from high school cut most of his finger off with a band saw!!!)
That is awesome! My dad made something similar for my mom years ago to hold her riboons at the flower shop. I have that little contraption now, but it sure doesn't look that "pretty".

wow that is nice. Is the bottom part a drawer that pulls out? Nice dad you have.

That's pretty neat. I'd love a hubby that could build something, or do electrical, or do a lot of things, but he does a lot with what he does possess, so I can't be too upset, lol. I hope you enjoy it.
