I was on a FB group a couple of days ago and missed an opportunity to get all of the TH Distress Markers for $55 I've been kicking myself ever since. I found them here for a lot more, but I'd be willing to pay the $$ for them if they're worth it. Anyone have them that can give me an honest opinion? I already have Spectrum Noir markers, as well as the Stampin Write markers from Stampin Up. Just wondering if they're worth the investment.
Any insight would be appreciated
I have done some research on these markers. I do have a few and plan on getting more. The cool think about these parkers is their blending ability. You can take two markers and touch the tips and create a third color. you can also use the distress ink pads and the markers to create other colors. It will not permanently affect the marker. I have seen many videos where people use them to color stamped images on cards instead of copic markers.

I have them but need to watch a Youtube video to see how to use them. Mine sit somewhere in the closet .

I have a set that I bought here on sale, but have not done much with them and have no other experience with markers except some that I bought at Joann's. They went dry.

I have them and hate all of them. The fine point does not write well at all. I thought it was just my markers, but a lot of people say the same thing. I bought them from two different places so it's not a bad batch. The thicker end is great but I'm mad that I spent the money and can't write with them. From the first day the fine tip writes like it is out of ink. So frustrating.
Lori, I love the way mine write. But that is all I have used them for so far.Croppinmama wrote:I have them and hate all of them. The fine point does not write well at all. I have one that came in a kit and at first it was eh, now neither end writes. I've only had it since sept. Or oct.Croppinmama wrote:I have them and hate all of them. Thank you all for the input!!! I really appreciate it I think I'm going to hold off for a bit, even though they are on sale here right now (plus the add'l 20% off). It's a lot of money to spend, and I think I need to do more research on them first.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Yeah I would hold off and knowing what i know now I would't get them again I don't think. Same with Copics. I have all the colours and frankly i haven't sat down to use them. On my list of things to do though!

I have a few and they're okay. Not an absolute must-have but if you do a lot of stamping they are fun to have on hand. I do find that they leak easily ... I have 5 or 6 of them now and 3 of them leak from the nib. Could just be bad luck on my part.
I only have the white one. When I first wrote with it, I thought it didn't do much. When I came back later, it looked pretty good.
Seriously look at a couple or maybe 3 Youtube videos of people demonstrating TH markers so you will get an idea. You might just fall in love!!!

Maybe I'll just get one or two singles before I buy the whole set and see how they work. I've seen quite a few coloring techniques and that's why I am interested in them. I just wasn't sure if they were worth dropping $150 on :-/
Thanks for all the insight! I really appreciate it!

I thought you could get a starter set for about 25. I had them on my wish list at one time but didn't order them. I too want a good marker for stamping. If you get them, report back. Reading soem of these has me leery now. You'd think you'd be getting a good qualitly product.
