I had to get a new version of PhotoShop Elements, and 12 is all that is available (I've been working with PSE9 for the past couple of years). But I'm struggling with something and I'm hoping someone can help?
When I open my document (a blank layout, or a template)...the resolution preset at the 300 pixels per inch that I've selected as my default. However, when I drop elements into the working file, they are opened by PSE as filling the page, whether or not that is the proper ppi resolution or not. This makes each element fill the page which takes away my ability to "pre-see" the size of the element as it was created. Does anyone know how to reset that, so it drops into the working file in the size in which it was created? I hope this question even makes sense to someone!
Thanks in advance!
I am totally in the dark on this Nancy!! Hopefully Barb will see it I know she does lots of Digital!! Good Luck it is so frustrating trying to do something when a program won't let you!!

This does make sense to me - what you're saying - but I don't know how to fix it! I know my son would know - but without having PSE at all at his disposal where he is right now (work) - he's not going to be able to answer it. I'll ask him when he gets home if he can stop by my house if you are still stuck.Ayla wrote:I had to get a new version of PhotoShop Elements, and 12 is all that is available (I've been working with PSE9 for the past couple of years). It's probably a simple preset or something is checked
Sorry but here's Joey's answer:
Nope, haven't used PSE in ages really.

I'm on 11 and I think that is happening to me too. But I just resize them back down and keep going. Didn't know any different. Lol!

That's what I've done so far, but there has to be another way. I don't want to use the elements too much bigger than they were made and made them look all pixelated! lolletumom wrote:I'm on 11 and I think that is happening to me too.
