Photograph Layouts?
Do you photograph your layouts before putting them away in albums? I always do. I mark where a layout will go with a little Post-It, then stick it in the stack to be photographed. Nothing gets put away until its photographed. Then 1-3 times a week, I upload them to Picasa (free!) where I either have them in the same 'album' as they are IRL, or in albums according to class (eventually, I will have them all in the correct 'album' to correlate to the actual ones I have the hard copies in.) This way I always have my backup. Plus, my streamer allows me to view my Picasa account on my TV. So every now and then I just turn the slideshow on my TV and if I notice something about a layout I don't like, I change it; and, it's also great if I need to be inspired, share my layouts with a friend or family, etc.
So how about you? Photograph it or file it?

Re: Photograph Layouts?
Oh how neat, good idea to add them to your Picasa stream, and how neat that you can put them on your TV like that. I love looking at my pics on my screen saver, and how much better that it would be scrapbook pages!

Since i started scrapping again (April this year!) I take pics of ALL my pages, if only because I upload them on the boards here. Never that organized to put them in albums in Picasa - I don't even have them in albums right now IRL! lol. But I take a pic of each LO when it's complete and then move it to my pile of completed ones, and then continue on.

Re: Photograph Layouts?
I have lots photographed now thanks to ACOT and the challenges! DH wants to go through all my LOs and photograph them, back them up and store them. He wants copies of all my work in case something happens to the albums one day. He doesn't expect them to be recreated but could do photo sleeves of past pages and start again (from the current time) if it were to happen. Perhaps his "to-do" list just got longer! ;)

Re: Photograph Layouts?
You know, I was thinking something along those lines. I started photographing them for my blog. But once I started uploading to Picasa, I have gone back and started photographing the old ones as well. I'm thinking if anything happens to my albums, I'll make photobooks from the uploads (one album at a time).

You know, that's really a smart thing to do. I am so far behind on EVERYTHING scrappy, it would take me forever to do that. :graysad:

Re: Photograph Layouts?
I did not photograph my layouts in the beginning, but I have been trying to be more organized and photograph each layout as I finish it for the past few years. I had not thought about putting them online, I have them on an external drive though.

Re: Photograph Layouts?
When I first started scrapping in 2009, I never thought to photograph my layouts. But now, with ACOT and Challenges and now I have a blog, I always photograph them!
