I have looked and looked in the black hole I call my house. And NO buttons. I KNOW they are here somewhere because I have been saving them for the last 50 years! Where are they? I looked upstairs, downstairs and under the stairs. No telling where they are hiding, but you can make book on it that they will show up as soon as I don't need them anymore. They are for MMC#4.
A thought: Should I cut some off a blouse to use? They don't have to be fancy.
Have you looked in all the obvious places? (like your sewing basket)

Of course not! But I am off to do that now. Thanks for the suggestion that I should have thought of myself but didn't. lolkarensay wrote:Have you looked in all the obvious places? (like your sewing basket)

I usually do too.Deanna13 wrote:I've been known to cut them off 'old' clothes. Hope you find some!

I store mine (taken from clothing when they come with that "extra" or clothes with holes ready to toss) in a Tupperware style container that fits in the bottom of my sewing basket. And I have some in my scrap crap stash....bought only for scrapping.

Bibi - do you have some older or nonfitting clothes? You could utilize those buttons. I look at thrift stores for used buttons or old garments with buttons. If we lived close, I'd tell you to come over and look through my stash. Good luck!
OK, I had to cut some off dh's dress shirt! lol He doesn't know and won't hurt him. lol Now I have to sew them back on. No biggie. Thanks. I thought about drawing some. Or cutting out pictures of them.

Ayla, this is an awesome idea! While I do not create many paper layouts anymore since I am mostly digital, I was trying to think of something that Bibi could do as well. If you are a smaper, you might even have a rubber stamp of a button that could be used as well! Awesome idea, Ladies!
Yeah that's why I said chipboard earlier - I have apparently a whole bunch of chipboard buttons from various kits, and I usually can't stand them. But if it's the color you need to match, then I guess it works. And if it's that or your husband's dress shirt..... lol

All of you have come up with really creative ideas that could be used. Thank you so much. Now if only I could get it uploaded to my computer I could upload it to ACOT!

Bibi -- sorry, but I can't call your buttons! LOL That only worked with the cell phone search.

That's why I like mine visible in clear jars on my desk. My buttons, ribbons, other small embellies that can be used on any LO I like displayed. My papers and stickers and new stuff is all ove the place needing placement. Perhaps a day to work together in each other's room would be a good idea.1grandma wrote:Yes.
