Chapter four
JANUARY
Ringing in the New Year in Cherryland was a sight to behold. Alas, each of the princesses of course celebrated in her own way. The king and queen smiled upon their daughters as they went out for their parties, and they returned quite happy the next morning, New Year's Day – the first day of 2013 in not only Cherryland, but all the world.
So of course, as parents, they asked the girls about their experiences. Princess Maraschino said she really enjoyed the party with her friends, and they had all played several games. Princess SourCherry said they danced the night away at hers, in a sparkling new dress.
SO. . . . in honor of Princess Maraschino, if you choose, play a game – and this is it: Use the numbers – two, zero, one, and three. You must use two of one of the following items, NONE of one of the items, one PHOTO, and three of another item. Your choice as to what you choose to skip, but you have three of your choice – and two of the other. One must be skipped.
Paper, embellishments, journaling on the computer.
Princess Maraschino will expect questions so let me go a bit deeper with it. If you choose to do paper – which is obviously a must – you must use either two sheets or three.
Embellishments – you can pass on, or use two or three of them – whichever you don't use in your paper selection. In other words, if you used two sheets of paper, you need to use three of the embellishments or pass on embellishments.
Now here is the tricky part. YOU MAY handwrite journaling – that's your "Zero" – it's the computer you can't use!! But if you insist on using the computer- then you have to skip one of the others, and journal in two or three places with your computer.
Bottom line – you have to have something "2", something "0", "1" PHOTO, and something "3" – 2013.
Now we KNOW our dear Princess SourCherry does things the easy way – as always. She says "Yeah, right, I got a new dress, remember??" So your challenge if you follow Princess Sour Cherry? ANYTHING NEW that you got for Christmas needs to be on a layout – anything!! It can be an image from a new Cricut, down to a sticker from a sticker pack, or a brad in a kit. ANYTHING – that you got on Christmas as a gift. Even from one of the December envies exchange!
This will be opened until midnight EST on January 31st . Any medium (digital, hybrid, paper) is fine, and MAY be combined with another challenge. Layouts, cards, altered project – is accepted in Cherry Land. I will award a $5 prize to the winner pulled at random.
I got Echo Park's For the Record 2 collection for Christmas, so I used that for this layout. (In fact, I got it for Christmas twice! Once from my mother and once from my sister because they both knew I wanted it.)
I chose princess Sourcherry- I used my EC shape studio- first time I've used it and I really like it. Came from my secret sister in december. Here is a closer picture of them.
