A silly Christmas card question
How do you girls who make your cards remember who you sent the card to? I just hauled out my stamps and am wondering if I need to scramble and get new stamps. I would hate to send the same stamped card to the same person as I did last year.

Do you only make one style of card each year and send it to all your friends?

This has me puzzled ;-)

Re: A silly Christmas card question
This won't be any help to you, but I just quit sending cards about forty years ago!

Re: A silly Christmas card question
I guess you would call mine hodge podge, because I never make 2 the same. I guess that also eliminates giving the same one twice, lol. Good luck!

Re: A silly Christmas card question
I make one card design and give to all I send to. I also keep 1 and date it, so I know what cards/stamps I have used in previous years.

Re: A silly Christmas card question
I make cards every other year. It's too much for me to do it every year. I usually buy a new stamp and new paper, so I know the card is different each time I make them.

THAT is actually a really good question! I never thought of that. I guess I just wouldn't mind too much or if it bothered me, I'd keep some sort of list with my holiday address book.

LOL! I am having this problem this year so I have decided to make some that I know I did not do before with new stamps. I can not remember what tags I gave family last year either.

Re: A silly Christmas card question
Thanks all. I am going to use what I have this year and hope for the best. But, all of them ( except the word ones) are going to be sold cheap somewhere.

Does ACOT have a exchange board? I could give them to ST. Vinnies but really want to send them to another card stamper.

Re: A silly Christmas card question
When I do a homemade card, I scan or take a photo and upload rather than save an original so that I can share with some friends online that don't get a mailed version. And then I save to a Christmas Card Folder. I don't do this every year either.

Re: A silly Christmas card question
Every year I make about 80 cards - but I get bored with one design. So I make 8 different and 10 of each. Becuase the overall design is different I don't tend to worry about if I used the same stamp.
I.E. - I love the Dasher stamp from Stampin' Up! and have used for the last three years, but in different ways each year. This year I made them on the manly cards (the ones for single guys we know) with a birch bark background paper. Last year I used the same stamp, but paired it with snowflake paper and cool blues and embossed the deer so it looked like it was in the snowstorm.

But I always end up buying at least 3 new Christmas stamp packs each year. I am addicted to stamping. There I said it - they can come and lock me away now.
