Thank you everyone for your thoughtful words, hugs and prayers. They really mean a lot to me. Today has been very emotional. Last word was that Hospice has come in and gave him liquid morphine for his pain. He is now resting comfortably. I was able to talk with him for like 2 minutes before her fell asleep again. I told him I loved him and he was able to say I love you back. So that made me a little happy. I also was able to speak with his pastor. He was there with him last night and again today. He kept telling me what a wonderful man my dad is, and I couldn't agree with him more. I love my dad so much.

My heart is aching for you Mildred. ((Hugs))

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I'm glad that you were able to spend some quality time with him this summer. The memories that you made and have from your childhood will sustain you as you go through this period. I know, been there, done that.
