Ugly paper revisited
A few years ago a few of us got out the ugliest paper and old embellies that we had, put them together and mailed them to each other. Our challenge was to creat a LO out of the other cherries ugly stuff. It was so much fun. I am wondering if any of you would be interested in doing it again. The way we did it was : A package was mailed of old ugly stuff; a compliation of pp, solid, flowers, buttons, twine, etc. The receiver used what inspired them and added some of her own stuff to the LO she created if she wanted then added her ugly stuff to the package and mailed it to the next person. Each person could have the package about a week, but no one was keeping tabs. Mailing the package is the expense that is incurred. No new stuff is wanted. Just old-not-going-to-be-used-and-probably-thrown-out stuff is wanted. Post your created LO in this thread so that we can all see what you did. And please add what you used.

I will send the name of who you send to next Monday.

If any of you would like to do this, please add your name here. And PM me your snail mail addy.

We need to keep this box in the US. Most of us are poor Americans and simply can not afford to send it overseas. Thank you for your understanding.

Sounds good to me! Do we use a Flat Rate Priority box of some size? That obviously limits what it can hold but that way everyone pays the same shipping...

Add me to the list. I missed out on it the last time. Don't remember if it was too late when I saw the thread, or it just died before it ever got to me.

Agree that a flat rate box would be the best answer.

Yeah, I think that is a good idea. We don't need to send a whole lot of stuff, just enough of a selection so that something will inspire the person it is being sent to. Quite frankly, I got the most ugly paper I had ever seen and it didn't really inspire me. I ended up doing a LO with only the tiniest piece of paper from the box so I challenged myself to do a LO with almost all from the box. It worked. I did it. Here is the LO that I used for the challenge: Image And here is the LO that I did not use for the challenge: Image

Re: Ugly paper revisited
I remember that! Wondering if it ever made it to the finish, I searched and it seems it got lost and a couple of cherries didn't received it. It was fun to see what was created out of that box though, especially if you notice a piece you put in yourself. Also, it seems the box had gotten too large for that flat rate and was devided into two. So, with this all in mind, let's see if we can come up with some good instructions/rules and hope it makes it all the way around. I'm in!

I would LOVE to play again (but can I please send the box to someone in the US and closer to me this time? It cost me a fortune to send it out of the country!). Here is the layout I did for the last round: Image Off to PM you.

I agree with the other commenters about the flat-rate box and the keeping it close to home thing!

Add me, I got a big box of papers, scraps, and die cuts at a thrift store last week for $1. It has alot of things I could send, most of it I gave to the grandkids. No brand name on any of the papers.

I recognize that paper! I had at least 2 of the patterns in an olive green color and don't know if I ever used it or not!

I was toward the end of that list the last time and the box never got to me!! I was waiting for it to get to me, and I believe it was the person in front of me who dropped the ball and possibly even left the board! but please I would love to try again! I still saved some papers and goodies for the box!

I wouldn't think so since we just started. Bibi got this going and I'm the first one to receive the package. She being away with her family today probably won't see this until tonight. I'd jsut go ahead and pm her your address. I'd love to have more play, myself.

Re: Ugly paper revisited
Did it! I loved the sweet lambs paper. Not ugly to me but perfect for my grandaughter's pics. I even fussy cutted some of the lambs and clouds and pop dotted for deminsion.(sp?)
The purple flower and the sticker were in the box too. This was fun to do...ready to pass along some papers to someone else to be creative with!
