It's been great, it's been fun. Our Creative Team has blessed us with their talents, inspired us to be creative and challenged us to keep going. We are very grateful for all they have contributed to A Cherry on Top. Our CT has continued to go above and beyond our expectations to make A Cherry on Top's Community a great place for digi and paper craft ideas. Sadly, today is our current Team's last day as a creative team at A Cherry on Top. But that doesn't mean it's their last day here.

So help us celebrate this Retirement Party by showing lots of love for our Creative Team ladies. What is your favorite layout/project/article from our Creative Team Galleries? Let's post our favorites to the Message Board. There are so many great ones that we should take notice of again.

Each Creative Team season has been different. Different ladies, different focus, different feel. It has sometimes been product featured, other times technique or project featured. Our CT has been going strong for years -- it's been a huge adventure and experience for all of us -- but now it is time to take a break.

Frayed emotions. Misstatements. Hurt feelings. Misunderstandings. Unkind words. Rude comments. I'm terribly confused about the cause of the recent posts and events on our message board. We could have removed the posts immediately (now looking back I wonder why we didn't), but I believed in our community. I believed that once all the angers and frustrations had been vented and spoken, all would be well again. Instead, I think it had the opposite effect. My eternal optimism sometimes gets in the way of logic and common sense. We only want our Community, our Gallery and Message Board, to come together with a common cause, to continue to be a source of new ideas and a place to meet new friends.

As they say, the buck stops here. I take full responsibility for the actions of A Cherry on Top and its employees. As our Director of Social and Creative Media, Heidi has guided our Creative Team efforts over the past year. She acted professionally and courteously in relaying to our CT that we would not be renewing their contracts at the end of February. A Cherry on Top is lucky to have Heidi. If you've never had a chance to meet her in person or talk to her on the phone, you really should some day.

Scrapbooking has seen a lot of changes over the years -- Card making, paper crafting, hybrid, stamping, digi. We embrace change knowing that some things will never be the same. What's up ahead remains a mystery, tho we have lots of hopes and dreams for the future.

We will continue to showcase the talent of various people to teach and inspire us, both in digi and paper. We ask that you be patient with us as we re-group over the next few months. Instead of using the Team concept, we will be utilizing Guest and Featured Designers. Additional information will be posted to our Message Board including open positions for future Guest Designers.

Thank you to all the past/current CT! I've learned alot from each and every one of you. And my pages reflect that. I might be a paper scrapper, but I greatly appreciate the digi CT too - you all have showed me how to do hybrid.

Thanks to all who have made this board possible.

As someone who's been on the board since the first days I'd like to say a couple things about the community: Yes, there's been some downs here - but there has also been the chance for many of us to make wonderful friends that we've become close to off the board - and even in real life.

So many of us have come together to support those who have been ill and those we've lost. I will always be grateful to all the support I got when my sister was dying of cancer.

Some of us have met in real life and have formed bonds of friendship that will last a long time.

And it's been because of ACOT's message board that this has happened.

We've all had some wonderful, positive experiences - even through some of the 'family bickering' that has happened.

All in all, most of us have many more positive experiences than negative.

It's a good place to be.

I have only been here for 2 short years, but have really enjoyed all the fun ACOT has offered. I will miss the CT team and all the fun. I LOVE to scapbook and have enjoyed sharing ideas here. I am looking foward to see what ACOT has instore for us. I'm not sure why or what happened here on the board. I just know I have really enjoy coming here.

I want to wish all the Creative Team the best of luck. I have learned so much from you - I can't tell you how many classes I have bookmarked and/or completed - all of your talent is amazing.


I have met a few of you and will miss seeing you on this board. I say that because it seems even though this is their last day, they have essentially left a few weeks ago when this was announced. I have been on this board for over 5 years and have seen alot of my favorites leave. A lot of new people have come on, but I just couldn't seem to connect with them. I checked this forum Saturday and Sunday night and I was one of 4 people on the forum. How sad. The topics aren't changing very often because people seem to be staying away.



Even though I haven't contributed much on this site lately, I like to check up on some of the topics. I just won't be doing it everyday as I used to.



I wish ACOT all the best but I think this decision is going to be hard for a lot of people to accept.

As a long time shopper of ACOT - and a recent poster - I want to thank all you fabulous people for sharing your creativity with us!! I've learned (and scraplifted!!:winkb: ) many of your ideas, and I have found my scrapbook home. Many other places come and go - both local scrapbook stores and online spots - but this is "home".


I want to thank the owners of ACOT and their web people for NOT taking down the comments. Pro or con, you can always feel you have a voice here. Agree or disagree with what's happening, we all find ourselves not liking change (I just ranted about my Kindle Fire and why I wasn't keeping it and why I was going back to books this morning!) But change is healthy, and we know sometimes it's inevitable to keep afloat, or to keep harmony. So whatever the reason, we need to take the words as knowing that they are honest and true because the negative has been voiced as well.

Thanks to everyone - from the "Buck, that stops here!" to the little person who just found this site today. We are all one community with a love of the scrapbook arts in common!!

Thank you to all of the CT, both past and present, for all of the time you have put in and all of your beautiful work you have shared with us. The reveals, the crops, the challenges... they all have taken a lot of your time and you always rocked them all!

I am not going anywhere, as I love this place and I really enjoy the friendships I've made here and the wonderful talent of not only the CT ladies but also of each and every Cherry on this board. We have an amazing gallery and an amazing bunch of Cherries here. I would never have gotten into digi if it weren't for this place. It was the wonderful, talented layouts in the gallery, and the fabulous kits in the Shoppe that drew me in like a magnet. The digi designers are some of the most generous people there are, constantly giving away freebies of their wonderful work, and it was with that that I decided to try it to see what it was all about... and immediately fell in love. And although I am in love with digi I am still a paper scrapper too, and it is here that I can mix and mingle with talent from both worlds. Every one of you is so talented and so creative, and I am so happy to be a part of this great community. I've made friends, learned the importance of journaling, got into digi, gotten so much inspiration, gotten love, given love, and even Boomer got some new cousins from Texas! It is awesome to be part of a community where everyone "gets" you and understands why you have enough patterned paper to wallpaper your entire house, why you get so excited when that package arrives, and why you love so much to open it and touch everything inside and just look at it like someone just sent you a box of gold, and why you are just so addicted that you sometimes think you have more stuff than your local Michael's. I am a very shy person and for me to feel so comfortable here is amazing in itself. So Cherries I am still sticking around to see what is in store for us, and also to hang out with my scrappy friends.

I too would like to thank both the past and present CT. I have only been here a year, and have learned so many new and wonderful things. One of those things was confidence. Until coming to ACOT, I would never have uploaded a LO to the gallery. It took me awhile, but when I did, it was so nice to receive the love. I have yet to meet a Cherry in person, but I have made so many friends here. Hopefully someday I can meet a few of you. I know some live here in MN, but I am not sure how far away you are. I am in the Twin City area, so if you are close and would like to meet sometime, please feel free to send me a pm.

I also enjoy the MB (as it is the only thing that I can get on at work) I too have noticed that the threads have not been changing as quickly as they have in the past. Hopefully one day that will change. I enjoy hearing about all the wonderful things happening to the Cherries, and I also like to lend support to those who need it. Sometimes a kind word is all a person needs to get through the day

Thank you to all the creative ladies on the CT, both present & past. It's really cool to have the ability to go somewhere & learn on-line. This is something that many other sites haven't been able to accomplish.

I think we need to remember why we scrapbook - to preserve stories & leave a legacy. We want the future generations to know the past, and for those here in the present, we want to learn about our past & where 'we' come from. We find it therapeutic, engaging, social and fun. It can challenge us, frustrate us or stretch us. But in the end it's all about the memories.

I have very fond memories at ACOT which is why I've stayed here. I'll continue to do so. I know I posted my feelings the other night on another thread, and I'm not a regular part of the community, but this message board does feel like 'home' & home is where the heart is.

I plan to follow Kristin down her new path, and I think we have the freedom to express our views to her as we have in the past, and as we see things change. Change is going to happen. You will resist it as its in our nature. But if you just pretend you are on a raft in the ocean (or in your pool), just let it see where it will take you - it could be a lot better than you ever imagined.

I just hope that Kristin doesn't delete any of the creative posts, articles or past crops! I love going back to them and getting my mojo going!
