Sounds to me like they are replacing the old team with a new one!

Someone better tell Suzie Crafter that she is NOT on ACOT dt since there isn't one...

I left before all of this went down. And I've been absent due to other reasons. But coming back to see this? I can put aside my disagreements with people here and say, that this is down right wrong.

It is hurtful. It's shady. And I think ACOT just undermined all of the "thanks and appreciation" they said they have for their CT, past and present.

I agree. I have been absent as well, because of something that happened at CHA, and I chose to not say a WORD.

I can't see her video because I'm at work and it's blocked content but......this has just been building in me so I am going to put in my 2 cents and then shut up.


I have never been a Guest CT or asked to do anything special or anything like that. Heck I rarely get comments on my layouts or more than 1 or 2 and yes that is hurtful especially when you see some with 8+. I try to remind myself that I come to this website pretty much daily for 'FUN' and 'ESCAPE' and 'NO DRAMA'. I try to remind myself that it doesn't mean that my work stinks, it just means that we are all different and have different styles and like different looks and colors and techniques.



I love to read about peoples happy moments in their lives and be able to give input or blessings when someone is going through a hard time. I love to see other people's work. I love that I can order and pay the $1 something for rush warehouse and have my order here in a few days.



But.....lately it's changing - the whole atmosphere is changing.....I don't know what happened to the CT (not my business I suppose) and I am an adult and I realize that change happens and I deal with it on a daily basis in my life and my job and my husbands job. Seriously.....daily - it's just the nature of my profession. So I don't need to learn that lesson and I think I deal with change very well. In fact I embrace it!



It just seems that everything going on here is really causing some deeply hurt feelings, misconceptions, & drama. It was a very fun place to come and now it seems like every day something is going on that is so upsetting to people and really shaking their worlds to the core.



It's sad.......it makes me sad....and it makes me wonder if being part of it is worth it or if I just need to embrace my hobby and share it with my family and friends and let go of the rest of it. I guess it just hurts me to see so many people that I have come to feel a connection with so upset.



I think this entire situation - whatever it may be could have been handled differently and it's quite apparent that it wasn't handled within the people that it involves at the core because they appear to be just as distressed as the rest of the cherries.



Sometimes in life you just have to let go



A couple years ago I had a male house cleaner once a month. He was HOT, he was in-expensive, and he did a fairly good job. But, he was always calling right before my 'set' appointment to change the time, or the day or the week or whatever. Every single time. It was very stressful to me because I work from home and had to plan around that and my husband's schedule and every change created an issue. I finally had to make the decision, was the HOT maid worth the drama and stress? I had my husband let him go because life is just to short to let something stress you out like that in the grand scheme of things. I was sweating the small stuff......so we got rid of the stressor and even though I miss having someone clean once a month it's much less stress to not have one.

Change is in the air. It must come. How is comes can sometimes be controlled, sometimes not. Here, it is what it is. I wish that it had been done differently, but it still is the way it is. I do not want to go anywhere else. I like it here. I think that the most hurtful thing is the lack of communication. If they would not leave us hanging and tell us what they are doing. Not the details, but just that something will go and other things will come. And maybe a hint of the ideas they have. It would be better.

I think we all understand there is going to be change. Yes, change is everywhere, but the problem when you get right down to it is things could have been gone about a completely different way. When some are told one thing and some are told other things and then....bam!....a whole different thing unfolds. It just hurts to be completely blindsided. This all just seems like a big slap in the face and while I get the excitement from this gal....like Egle said...it could have been held off at least until our term was up being as it was stated that there will be no more Creative or Design or however you want to word it Team.

And my question is, if there is NO new design team, why is this gal posting this on facebook? Curious to see how many more NON design team members there are out there.

I don't know what to think about this one.... I feel like it is a slap in the face for the current CT members, and perhaps Suzy could have better informed that there is not a Creative/Design team, or perhaps we as a community could have been better informed? And the other thread about the GCT call....the list of requirements somewhat offends me. Makes it sound like THAT is another aspect of replacing the CT. Just not feeling very comfortable here at the moment, and that makes me sad in the place I've always felt is my scrapping home.

Of all the things for some of us to *finally* be in agreement over THIS is a disappointing reason. Usually when this many people come to the same conclusion there is truth behind it.

We've asked a handful of crafters to do special videos for us - LilSweetPea, Kerry from Kerry's Paper Crafts are just a couple who have been doing this for us since early fall of last year. I'm surprised it wasn't noticed before. We'll continue to add interesting video projects from various sources in the future. We're happy to add Suzie to that list and I really appreciate her excitement.

Don't let the usage of the common Design Team term Suzie used cause an issue. Suzie does a great job with her videos! Hopefully, this is just another avenue of inspiration. ACOT's decision to no longer have a CT still remains and hasn't changed.

We're also excited to have the ACOT Guest Designer call! I know I heard from many of you who were worried we would no longer have a Guest every month. We're looking forward to seeing all of your submissions and hope you have fun with it!

Please only take this as the view from where I sit. I think some of the regular community members are suspicious about what is going on because of the way things have been announced. We know you are excited about all the changes you have planned, but the timeliness of your announcements and the lack of details of what is up your sleev have caused some speculations to go on. Without information, that's all there is to go on. Speculations. We are a creative bunch with big imaginations and imaginations can run wild. Whether right or wrong, we do take ownership of the community that is here. People are just trying to make sense of what is going on and how your mysterious changes will effect (what I thought) the good thing we had going here.
