A few years ago I purchased 3 speedo swimsuits (same suit different colors)... they have lasted thru many scuba dives and water aerobics activities. but now they are falling apart at the same time.
I just can't find anything..... can't have a skirt. I it looks funny under a scuba wetsuit. Hate BLACK color.
Need something size 20-22 and all I can find is 20 w or 22 w. What in the world does that "w" mean?
There must be a few women on here that swim. Where do you get your suits?
We are going to scuba dive the Mexican cenotes in March and I need at least two suits.

I believe "w" just means woman - as opposed to junior or petite. (I think they use the term lovingly for us hefty girls instead of calling us so...)
The 20w or 22w should be what you're looking for.

I don't know what the "w" means, but I usually get my suits at Lane Bryant. Their stuff just always seems to last longer. Have you tried the speedo website. Maybe they still have your suit, or something very similar. We go to the lake alot since it's 10 minutes from the house (cheaper than a pool since a yearly pass is $65...and keeping up with a pool is way more expensive than that). I was looking on Ebay the other day and found a couple cute suits (and new with tags). Hope your able to find something!:)

My mom who does water aerobics 3 times a week says to look for something on the material tag and the more you have of that type of material, the better the suit. I will call her this afternoon and ask her what it is. The last time I bought a suit she was with me and was very picky and I got a great suit. Mine was bought at a Herbergers store, which is also like a Yonkers.
Yes, keep me posted on what your mom says. I might just get a cheap suit for Mexico and a better one when we get back.
I need lots of swim suits

Yes, the W just means "women's sizes" or "plus size" (I don't have a clue why they use the W, we're ALL women, for cripes sakes, just use the #'s!)
I think if you're looking for a swim suit that LASTS and you're willing to spend the $$ on it, you might want to look for a specialty swim store that only sells suits and stuff, or perhaps go to a sporting goods store? Although, if you live in the northern US, I don't know what kind of selection stores would have right now... I see a lot of bikinis, but the full swim sections still haven't been expanded. :P

I just got one at Athleta - they size differently. The price was good and it's a cute suit. I wanted to be able to swim laps at the pool with it.
I buy the strapless ones with the shirring across the tummy and the Ester Williams type sarong skirt. I get them for about 30.00 each at Bealls' or Bealle's Outlets. No strap lines, great support, slim line and fun.
WAS a TIKI BAR GIRL AND ALWAYS WILL BE
Sorry it has taken so long to get the answer from my mom-----she says no rayon and as much polyester as possible with the spandex. She also looks for chlorine-treated on the tags, but that is because she is in an indoor pool. You lovely ladies at the beach don't have to worry about that!!
