Some of you have been keeping up with my friend and theatre employee, Joe. The tests came back from the Mayo Clinic and the spot in his brain is a malignant tumor. He has overcome so much. Almost died twice from brain swelling as a reaction to the biopsy. But now he is stronger going into this last phase in his recovery. He will have surgery to excise the tumor tomorrow at 7am. It will take about 6-7 hours. Please keep Joe and his family in your thoughts and prayers. You have made such a differance so far!
**** UPDATE 12/3*****
Joe's surgery went all right. No swelling this time and they were able to get some of the tumor. He was released to go home yesterday and will begin Chemo on the 13th of this month. He will get treatment every day. Please hope and pray that it works and that they get the rest of the cancer. Tomorrow is the first of several benefits for him in our local theatre community. The community theatre is doing a performance and silent auction for a fund that has been set up for his expenses. Our kids at the CCT will do a benefit performance of Beauty and the Beast on the 18th for the fund as well.

Becky, I will keep him in my thoughts...that is for sure! I, too, have a friend who is dealing with something, too, although he has not told me the full details of what is going on with him. So, I feel your "pain." Hang in there, sweetie!
