Yesterday we went to Savannah...tried to find a way into the Okefenokee Swamp to search for alligators but the fires in the swamp have forced officials to close all the parks that allow entrance into the swamp.... bummer! I was so looking forward to a swamp tour and threatening to throw Ali overboard to the gators. We headed towards Savannah to see if we could get into a nature preserve there, but found out THAT was closed until July. Apparently I'm not supposed to see nature down here! We ended up at one of Evan's buddies and his wife's house....had fun with their puppies. Found a ghost tour in Savannah.....tried to get tickets for last night but you have to buy them at least 48 hours in advance, so we got tickets for Wednesday night instead. Today we had intended to try to get into the swamp, but since that doesn't look like a possibility, we are heading towards Jacksonville instead so the kids can say they've been to Florida. Believe it or not, I haven't really even spent all that much money down here! It's so cool to have fun and make memories not having spent a ton.

This is Adrian and Callum playing with one of the puppies...one is 4 months old, a boxer and Huskie mix. The other is a mix of dachshound and Huskie...that poor puppy's mama!
This puppy loved nothing more than to be cuddled. You could hold her on her back and she'd just lay there like "love me...love me!" Ali was more than happy to oblige!
Evan refuses to acknowledge how much he and Keegan resemble each other...I can see it...can you?
And I leave you today with one last image....Keegan got all dressed up in Evan's Kevlar helmet and vest...sweating like a hog the whole time. He was fighting not to have his picture taken...more out of laughs than anything else. What you can't see in this picture is that I am actually SITTING on his back to get him to lie still for the picture! Ah, my poor children....they have to put up with ME every day!
