I always knew he was a tad on the moody side, but I see on weather.com today that my son is officially the Pacific's first tropical storm of the season.....GO ADRIAN!!! (my son of course, I hope no one is injured or loses property in the actual storm).
EDITED:: I always knew he had the hidden potential of becoming a whirling dirvish.....now he's a hurricane!!!!!!!

I always look at the list of names to see if any of my family members are on it. Don't know why....but I do.
Go Adrian!
Go Adrian!

Kate, my daughter, is bad enough. I get all excited when I see her name on something cause mostly it's "Katie". I can't stand anyone calling her that either. There are a few "Katie's" around her, but she is the only "Kate".
Tropical storm "Brenden" and Hurricane "Kerri" hit this house almost on a weekly basis!!!! Their rooms are a natural disaster!!!

Be glad he's just a tropical storm! The nickname we've always had for my younger son is "Hurricane" because his normal level of activity is usually at the Category 5 level!!!!

We thought the same thing during "Andrew" .
Have a coke and a smile!
LOL! Alexander was one a year or so ago... and I highly DOUBT my daughter, Zahara, will ever have one named after her! ;P
Trish ~ It's all fun and games until somebody loses an EYELET!
Too funny...I always check the names out too....just so I can torment someone.
I always check out the names as well.....I thought I was the only one...glad to know I am not alone....
I see my name is on the list this year....should be interesting to see what happens.

Well Trish if I remember correctly we made it through the entire alphabet for storms in '05 and went on to single letters. Do not even wish for another season like '05! That evacuation for Rita was like......and you can complete the sentence.
Ayla..... tell Adrian to stop spinning and growing so fast!!! You already know what it is like to look back and wonder how they grew up so fast!

I've heard that Callum is more common in England, too. I have never heard of another one in the US, and I can't tell you how many times I hear the comment "I've never heard that name before. Where did you get it from?"kiwi-ange wrote:Plenty of Callums and Kates in New Zealand
LOL! My girls have common names...but I don't think I've ever seen them used. Maybe they are TOO common?
Mine...mine will never be used.

I still remember the year there was a storm called Diana, my niece thought one was trying to get me. My husband has still not let me live that one down.

And not just a meager CAT 1 but a CAT 3!!! 9% chance to move to Cat 4 in next 12 hours....but to me recent satellite images shows a slight breakdown in eye, but that is not unusual.
Oh, and he's a moody one today! He didn't tell me about his 5th grade recognition until last night, and I had to work last night and tonight. Mind you, the recognition was at 11:30am! That's like asking the "normal" person to get up at 1am to go to a school function! Yet....I did it....and he got irritated with me that I wouldn't pull him from school when it was over. School is done tomorrow!killarney_rose wrote:Ayla wrote:I always knew he was a tad on the moody side, but I see on weather.com today that my son is officially the Pacific's first tropical storm of the season.....GO ADRIAN!!!
