All of my life I wanted to have a little girl and name her Emily. But when looking into names when we had DD, I saw that it was the most popular name that year (and a couple before that too I think), so I decided I didn't want her to be one of many...so we went with a very non-common name - Amaya (it's Japanese and means "night rain" which meant even more when it rained the evening she was born 5 weeks early and we hadn't finalized on a name yet).

As far as my vote, I think Renley is really nice...definitely won't have tons of those in his class. Wishing you the best!

Re: Baby Names
I like them both, but if I had to choose I'd go with Renley... love Ren for short!

I really like Renley because it's not a name you hear very often and it sounds very upper-crust. Maxwell is good, too, though.

Re: Baby Names
I'm kind of like Jenna, I love love family names and so does my husband. My son's name covers my father, both of my brother's, and two of DH's great uncles on DH's side of the family.... My daughter is a fifth generation of females in the family to have Elizabeth in her name. Don't know where her middle name comes in since Daddy decided on it and insisted she would be called Lynn. His idea is that a child should have a short name they can easily learn to spell. Then when my brother named his son the same name as our son with an additional middle name I thought he would bust with pride....he was ecstatic. The second middle name was to honor his BF who passed away from cancer the same year his son was conceived.

I love Maxwell!!! Regal! :inlove:

Definitely Max. Love that name.
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.

Re: Baby Names
I like Renley with two E's. My brother is named Max and he hates it. It's a popular name for a dog, so he's tired of people always telling him "I have a dog named Max" or I had a dog named Max growing up and then there were the Maxi pad jokes during jr high.

Re: Baby Names
Maxwell "Max" is my favorite of the two you suggested.
