All I ever used for years was Creative Memories adhesive tabs, but I got SO sick of that- tape runners are SO much quicker so I have switched over to them completely. I use one in a red cartridge, just a plain jane scrapbook tape runner. Also use glue dots quite a bit for buttons, flowers, bigger items. Love using the foam tabs for a more 3D effect. I do have a glue pen for intricate cut-out Cricut designs, haven't tried it yet but it was recommended by several on the board so I'm hoping it will work well. Also have a Xyron X and a Xyron 500-- I use those still too for ribbons etc.
glue stick, double sided tape, and a thin glue pen for small letters.

I use so many adhesives. I use ATG, glue dots, scotch quick dry and love foam dots.

okay for fine linesI also use Scotch 16oz; it is okay; gets clogged; takes a while to dry hate these
only have green packs)I get these at Big Lots for a dollar
ick (below) works sometimes; I like the vellum but it's icky, too--fave is the dots runner??????????????if in a hurry--glue stick--icky; foam if desperate
I like all the dots I've used!
These work really well; thick

I agree with the click n stick. I have purchased so many other tape guns and runners and I always go back to the click n stick. I love it.
I tend to se my glue stick, tombo and foam squares/dots the most. If it's on the heavy side or I want to make sure it really stays put I'll se my Yes! paste but not often.
I've been using the Elmers tape runner I can get at my local Walmart mainly, but just bought my frined the BIG scotch tape runner for Christmas...waiting to get a report from her on how she likes it, then may shell out the 40.00 for one for myself...
other than that some spots for flowers and bulky stuff, occasional pop dots and scotchs glue which I typically use a paint brush to apply.
Then my newest love is glitter glue, but that's more decorative than functional...

Love my ATG!

I use my ATV Gun and glue dots but I LOVE my Zig 2 Way Glue Pen Fine Tip for precision

I use my ATG Gun, Scotch Quick Dry, SU Dimensionals, and Beacon's Advance 3 in 1.
A couple of weeks ago my fiance and I made our wedding invites. They took us forever to make, but they were so pretty! I liked using these adhesives. The mini glue dots were quite handy to glue delicate bows on the invites.
Ugh....adhesive is not my friend right now!! I was always a hermafix girl and then I went thru 3 refills that would roll back on itself and I gave up! Now I can't find anything that will stick! I've tried the cheap Elmer's stuff from Walmart, glue dots, tombo, zig pens, and even hot glue!!! Nothing works!!!! My xyron does work for somethings but not everything will fit in the 500 or the X! I'm so frustrated! I got the 50% off coupon for M's and J's but neither one in my area have the ATG and I have been wanting one for years then I finally get the nerve and the cash to buy one....
