is there a cartridge that makes a bunch of different shapes that could be used for 12x12 die cut papers?

What type of shapes are you looking for? Basic Squares and circles and such? Or are you looking for something more elaborate? Let me know...I can look thru my carts and see what i find.

My Plantin SchoolBook makes all the basic shapes. It came with my cricut. I have seen it on ebay though.

Paper Lace has some awesome designs!--THough I haven't actually used it yet.... Howver, just about any cartridge shapes can be cut--though the largest is 11.5 for a square (which is actually what several of the shaped papers you buy are...)


Storybook has several different artisan label shapes...

You might want to have a look at Make the Cut. It can trace an outline from just about any shape you can grab off the internet. A lot of people have said that using these kinds of software voids the Cricut warranty. I have looked through all the warranty stuff I can find but cannot find any evidence of that though.

I was also going to say look at Make the Cut. As far as Cartridges, besides the one listed my Geographically speaking as some cool shapes. I will look through the rest of my cartidges tonight,

I agree Make the cut is the way to go Any question about MTC please just pm me or ask on my blog I have had since the begining and I LOVE it!

I am totally cricut (and die cut machine) challenged. I have Make the Cut software, but I haven't even tried it yet because I can't make the cricut work right reliably with the few cartridges I DO have, let alone use that software with it too.

I know, it's crazy - Im a software engineer, you would think I could do it. But I failed at the wishblade, and the slice, then I got the cricut thinking that EVERYBODY can do that - but it took me like 2 hours on sunday to cut out 7 clouds and corresponding shadows.

I like Cricut Search, too. I use it sometimes. I was going to suggest Paper Lace, also.

Ok - Accent Essentials has a nice scallop. Using MTC or SCAL or even a Gypsy (same as Design Studio), you can use these and weld them to make a page.
Look at almost any cartridge, and the shapes can be made 10 x 10, 4 x 4, 12 x 12, etc. Cricut is also coming out with a new, free design program. Hope this helps.

Lacy Labels (which is a Lite cartridge only available through Walmart) is awesome for this! Lovely Floral (another Lite cartridge) and Storybook also have some good options.

I use Sure Cuts A Lot software, similar to MTC, and LOOOVE it! I use my Cricut more than ever and it has those styles of cuts. There is a bunch of talk out there regarding a lawsuit by Provo Craft against these software makers so get it while you can!

Lacey labels is a good choice..and if you have mini monograms i'm pretty sure that it has a scalloped circle in it.

There are videos out there to help with the cricut,, and you tube. there are still some stuff that I haven't tried yet. But I really liked aboverubiesstudio.com. she had a video that i bought and i liked it...it's the type that you could sit down and work along with it if you needed too.

There are carts out there with the shapes, however, I can't get them as big as I'd like so I use Sure Cuts Alot (like Make the Cut) to get mine. If someone could tell me how to get the shapes to cut out bigger than 10 1/2 or 11 that'd be awesome! But, it always tells me there isn't space, when I know there is!
