Thanks gals :) Z's still at home and her fever is still fluctuating. Currently, the Tylenol isn't touching her fever at all so we're switching back and forth between Motrin and a non-aspirin generic chewable tablets. She's developed quite the cough (non-productive) that sounds almost like pertussis but none of the other symptoms match. Giving her lots of liquids to keep hydrated as well as feeding her tiny bits of toast and soup so we're going to wait it out.
Z's running a 103 fever and can't keep anything down, including water. :( Poor baby. I'm taking her V-Day cards into school for her (she doesn't want her classmates to think she forgot about them) and plying her with Motrin every 4-6 hours. She's curled up on the couch at the moment... taking her own temperature for the 1000th time. In less than an hour. :P

Aw!!! It's a bummer when they are sick and miss a fun day at school. Dd had to miss her Halloween party at school because of a fever a couple years ago and she still talks about hit.

bummer she's sick today. I went through that last week. These kids this year are getting the flu that's going around. Hope everyone else stays well and she feels better soon.
Poor Z.....hope she feels better very soon! Your a sweet Mom to take her Valentines to school!
I hope she's feeling better by now!
Just thought I'd mention that ibuprofen can be kind of rough on the stomach. You might want to switch to tylenol or let the fever run it's course while her tummy is upset.

My daughter was also home Monday. She is feeling better but I would have like to have kept her home again today, but she misses so much work when she's out. I told her to go to the nurse if she wanted to come home.
Still sick... :(
