So, you know how I made all those 'Special Days' books for gifts???? Well when I cut off the bottom strip I noticed that the other side had the pattern on it, so I cut the strips in half and weaved them. I thought about putting them through my xyron and then making shapes out of them, but I kinda liked the country feel of the rough weave, so I left it. I probably could have done 100 other things with them, but they ended up on this layout. (and yes, I had wanted to mist the background paper, but forgot. Oh well.
Maybe this will be a challenge for the next crop...to use weaving of scraps.

oooo....I love your layout!!! I've done two with weaves but have covered the whole page with both! I've just about got enough strips of paper to do another layout!!! I probably have enough for two, if I would go through my scraps, LOL!
