Challenge #6 - Doin' it Ol' Skool...
Shaker cards... Hmmm... Do you remember them??? I do - and I've recently re-discovered them! They're a ball of fun, and kids, especially, love them. So your challenge, should you choose to accept, will be to create a shaker card!

Here's one that I've recently made for my son's upcoming 5th birthday... And guess what? It's hybrid! Well, technically - that Buzz was a picture of a plate I printed off of the internet!

Not sure how to make one? For a 6x6 card:

1) Cut a 12"x12" card into 2 so you have 2 6"x12" sheets. Fold each in half and adhere one side to the other, to create a tri-fold card.
2) Cut or punch a hole in the center third. From the inside, cover with acetate.
3) Around the opening, use foam tape to create a shadow box. Do not leave any spaces open, as that means stuff will fall out! And don't take the backing off just yet!
4) Checking your orientation (you don't want it to open backwards!), put a background on what would be the left third. You may want to lay this down on the foam tape, to make sure you've got it in the right place, before sticking it to the back.
5) Add your glitter or beads to your 'hole'. Remove the backing from the foam tape, and fold the left side down to seal.
6) Finish decorating as desired!

I've only ever used foam tape - it needs to be something thick, so there's room for the shaking, and continuous, so stuff doesn't fall out!

Re: Challenge #6 - Doin' it Ol' Skool...
you could do it in a little plastic pouch or baggie by securing it behind the opening and filling with your shakey bits. It's a little easier than the foam tape. ....which I can't seem to locate thus I have no example to share with Sara. :(

Didn't have acetate, so had to go really old school and use a small ziplock baggie! LOL
